chapter 1

It was not a normal mission. This was to attempt to get the hammer of dawn back up into the air.  After everything we went through since the swarm came.  When I was woken from stasis, it was a relief to know the locusts were dead. But I never expected to fight something worse.   I was made for the locust, but I have to fight the swarm instead.  I should be the age of Marcus. But because of my hibernation, I am in the age range of Jd and Kait. 

I heard Kait gasp as she woke up. This has been normal since she started having headaches.  I could see her grab her necklace.

Y/n: When's the last time you slept?

Kait: Last night. *sarcastic* A good eight or nine minutes.

Marcus: nightmares?

Kait: Does it get better?

Marcus: it gets tolerable.

Y/n: I slept for decades. I still have problems sleeping naturally.

We made it to the drop off point.

Jd: All right, lets see what we got.

We started hooking ourselves up I noticed Kait forgot to hook her belt.

Kait: So who's jumping first.

Y/n: Not you. *walks up next to Kait*

Kait: Y/n I'm fine!

Y/n: Not what I meant.

I hooked her belt up.

Kait: Oh shit. Thanks Y/n.

Y/n: I want to try to decrease the average in deaths by friendly equipment.

The team started lowering down. Dave went ahead of me.  I stood and looked at them.

Jd: You coming Y/n?!

Y/n: Right behind you! *Jumps off*

I landed safely on the ground thanks to my improved durability.  The team landed soon after. We started heading to find a rocket site. The fact that no one was in Azura for twenty years was evident.  It looked like it was about to falk apart any second. We got to a darker section. 

Jd: Dave, light.

I turned on my eye lights lighting up whatever was in my view points.

Del: Man. All this time and the eye lights are still creepy. 

Y/n: I'm just glad I can still see perfectly fine.

Jd: Remember. There is a big locust burial site on this island. If its hatched we will be waist deep in swarm.

Marcus: This is one helluva way to come back to Azura.  Hey Y/n.

Y/n: Yeah?

Marcus: Why weren't you ever unfrozen?

Y/n: I just unencrypted the data from the lab. Apparently the locust coming up made it to the lab. Didn't go so well for them. 

Marcus: Damn. We could have used you back then.

Y/n: I'm here now.

As we moved forward a huge piece of the building fell off.  We kept moving.  We  ran into more building falling down. And we could hear swarm.  I turned on my special vision that lets me see the outlines of them through walls and smoke. Basically a wall hack.

I snuck up behind one and slit his throat.  But one saw me and the fire fight began. We won with ease and moved on. There was a grate we could use to get down. I moved it myself and allowed the others to get down. As Kait went to jumo down she clutched her head in pain. 

Y/n: You alright?

Kait: I'm fine. Just a headache.

I used a scan on her. Her brain was blinking from red to normal.

Y/n: You should really checked out.

Kait: I'm fine. Let's just find the silo.

We moved along some pipes. But as we passed what looked like an arch way. A grenadier dropped down. With quick hands I hit him right in the heart. More swarm appeared and another fire fight took place. 

A nest opened up. I pulled a frag grenade out and tossed it in perfectly blowing it up. We realized we were in ome of the silos. But it was wrecked so we had to find another.  We found a split path and split up. I went with Del and Jd.

We made it into a exhaust tunnel. I turned my eye lights back on. As we walked juvies appeared.  They were all in the water.

Y/n: Get on solid ground!

Jd and Del listened.  I made a shock go through my hand and it electrocuted all the juvies in the watee killing them.  From there we moved on. We found more swarm. We saw Kait and Marcus aboved us. We started a fire fight. We kept pushing and eventually ran into a carrier.   Baird sent us guardian reinforcements that helped. 

We took one with us while the other secured the area.  As we entered the facility.  Dave downloaded a lot of data. Baird wanted us to find the facility commanders office and poke around.  We ran into swarm and they destroyed our guardian. We won the firefight and managed to get into the commanders office. We found a hard drive in a safe.

Jd: We found it.

Baird: appreciate it delta.

Kait on coms: Know what we'd appreciate? Some back up!

We got to their position and won that firefight.  And it was in the only silo left standing. We plugged Dave in and started the launch. But the hatch didn't open.  Jd wanted to get the hatch open. And the swarm arrived. I was with Kait and Marcus. Jd, Dave and Del went to get the hatch open.

They did manage to get the hatch open. They made it. Dave was attacked by a Juvie.

Kait: Close it!

Del: We can't Dave is still out there!

Kait: Who gives a shit?! He's a robot!

Y/n: I take offense to that!

Del: That's not his fault!

Dave barely made it through. Kait looked at me while I gave her the "really" look.

Kait: *nervous chuckle* Sorry Y/n. Forgot your kinda part robot.

Y/n: You're forgiven.  Let's go.
