chapter 3

We were heading to settlement 2 to help.  We split up.

Del: I can't believe we're back here.

Fahz: We did our duty. You need to get over it.

Y/n: Do you want my foot up your ass Fahz!

Jd: Cole. See what we're dealing with.

Cole opened the door and a Swarmak fired making Cole close the door. The raven was hit and we crashed into a building.  Fahz and Del got off as we hit the roof. But the rest of us got stuck in the raven and crashed through.  I was stuck under a large metal beam. Thank god for my enhanced strength that allowed me to escape. But Juvies appeared. 

Y/n: Oh for the love of.

I noticed Jd and Cole were stuck. Jd could fire but Cole couldn't.  I pulled out my Talon pistol and fired. Once Juvies were appearing lest frequently.  I got Jd out and then got Coke out. By then Fahz and Del arrived.  

We moved trying to get to the hub.  After a firefight we could see Lizzie's convoy.

Cole: She's the best driver we got. Problem is...shit she knows it.

We cut through a building to get shot at by a cog solider.

Jd: HEY! Stand down private! We're gears.

Gear: Shit. Sorry Lieutenant.

We order for a civilian evac since their was civilians holed up in there. We got out of the building to see Lizzie ram a snatcher with her truck then get out a put a grenade on it killing it.

Jd: Baird we're assisting a convoy. We may need reinforcements. 

Fahz: Fenix for the last god damn time I'm the ranking officer here.

Y/n: I'll give you a five star general ranked beatdown if you don't shut you're fucking mouth Fahz!

We cleared the street but pouncers came from the rooftop.  One tried to tackle me. But I caught it and slammed it down. I took out my lancer and sawed It's belly open killing it. 

We cleared the street and kept moving to the hub. We passed a memorial to those that died during a protest.  Del and I were looking at it.

Fahz: Oi. *sarcastic* Are you going to be okay?

Del: You know. You might not have a problem shooting innocent people but I do.

Fahz: Innocent, huh? Innocent! So people throwing fire bombs are innocent huh. Good to know.

Y/n: More people died than needed. SOME threw bombs. So fuck off Fahz! Or I'll make you wish you were dead.

We moved on. After dealing with juvies we made it to the plaza. We cleared it but the swarm kept coming.   After a long firefight and even dealing with a snatcher. We could get the civvies out of here.

A mass of flying leech looking things attacked.  They destroyed oir shepards and killed our other gears. We ran in different directions.  I was with JD and Del.  We were able to find a stim upgrade for Jack. 

It allowed to get to the crash site of a raven that just got attacked by the flock.  After a firefight Kait called and we had to regroup at the theater.   We moved into a kitchen and were attacked by corrupted deebees.  That was even worse. Thinking about how this flock thing can shut down our deebees and turn them against us.

We made it to an area full of them. After carefully not waking them up we made it to what looked like a ballroom. A loud rumbling woke all of the ones in there up. After a long firefight mixed with close quarters combat. We got out of there. Not to anything better as we saw two gears killed by a flock.

We got charged by leeches and we killed them and their flock. We went outside to assist a lone gear and deebees.  The gear died and a flock came but we didn't let it turn the dee bees. We made it to the theater.  Baird told us about a group of civvies he lost contact with in there.

We went to the stage. We opened the curtain to see a turned dr1 and dead evacuees. The music turned on alerting it to our presence.  Even when we killed that one even more came.  We made it to the lobby. We could see the chaos outside.

Baird called about us losing the settlement and Lizzie also called and was coming for us. Colw and Fahz came through thd door.

Fahz: We, uh. Brought company. 

A swarmak appeared and we started fighting it. Cole left but came back on a bike with grenades on it. He drove it right into the swarmak's mouth which we shot at, it exploded and the head was no longer there. 

Fahz and Del went at it. And Fahz said Jd was the one that ordered the first shot into the protesters. I remember it, the screams of terror. I couldn't sleep for a few nights.

Lizzie and the convoy came but it was stuck. And the swarm was approaching fast.

Jd got the hammer of dawn to fire. Protests from Baird beforehand. But it went out of wack. I rushed with Jd to the convoy.  I managed to rip Lizzies door off and pull her out before the blast hit. But Jd fell backwards his arm extremely 

Y/n: Shit! Jd!  

Ravens came and we were able to extract.  But this would change everything.  For a long, long time.
