We were heading to an outsider camp. It was me, Kait and Del. Kait opened the raven and stepped off.

Kait: Let's get this done. We're on a short string here.

I stepped off and Del followed. 

Del: Kait! Should we bring him along?

Kait: Yeah. Sure. Why not.

Jack followed us

Del: So what's your issue with Jack anyway?

Kait: Besides spending half my life hiding from cog bots? No issue.

Del: I told you it was her. Not you.

Jack livened up.

We walked up to the gate of the camp.  Before we got there Kait got a headache.  I put my hand on her shoulder. 

Y/n: You alright?

Kait: I'm fine.

The fate opened. We had to turn in our weapons. We gave them and they said we could pick them up on the way out.  We walked through. As we were heading to the steam farm. Kait got another headache which as always she assured me she was fine. Which I didn't believe.  We made it to the steam farm. There was a guy there.

Kait: Hey. We're looking for the cheif. Old guy, smells like beer. You've seen him?

He turned around. And to our surprise it was Oscar.

Oscar: Kait.

Kait: Uncle.

Oscar: A lot of cog been out here to make their pitch. Never imagine they'd send you

Kait: Guess they thought you'd hear md out.

Oscar: And what do you think?

Kait: I think you need a new decorator.

Oscar: Its supposed to keep them away.

Kait: How's that been working for you?

Oscar: Ah. Not too well. Its good to see you again Kait.

Kait: You too Uncle. Now pack up. You're leaving.

Oscar: Am I.

Y/n: We've convinced every other village to join. You're the last to not join. Right now we can't win without everyone. Its time we fight these things together. 

Oscar: No. Its time we end this conversation. I'm sorry young ones. You can find your way out.

Kait: Uncle! My mothers dead because she thought we could make it alone. So go ahead. Send us away, but if you do I'll be back. To bury whatevers left of you and these people behind these walls.

We could hear gunshots. Oscar came out.

Oscar: Shit.

Kait: How often do they attack?

Oscar: Lately every day.

An explosion occured.

Del: They do that every day?

Oscar handed us guns.

Oscar: No they don't.  Come on!

We fought our way through the village saving anyone we could.  The convoy arrived but was getting hammered outside the gate. We fought to it but a snatcher appeared.  It smacked me and Del away with its tail. It smacked Oscar away and hit Kate with its stinger making her fall. It  grabbed Kait.

Y/n: Shit!

I couldn't do anything and the swarm kept attacking.  But for some reason. Some of them started attacking their friends. It confused me. A warden grabbed Oscar, and popped his head off.  We managed to shoot the snatcher that held Kait down. She ran into the settlement. I stopped her from looking at her dead uncle.

Y/n: You don't want to look at him. Not like that.

Kait hugged me and cried into my shoulder.

Y/n: I'm here Kait.

Jd showed up

Jd: Kait...I'm sorry.

Del: Thanks Jd. For coming here

Jd: Of course.

Fahz: Can I, uh recommend. Maybe getting these people out of here.

Del: Hey. Just slow down.

Jd: No Fahz is right we need to move.

Del: What are you t--- Oscar's dead man, give her a minute.

Jd: She'll get her minute in the raven.

Del: What the hell is wrong with you?

Jd: Del we need to leave.

Kait: I'm not going. 

Jd: Excuse me?

Kait: For months now. *lets go of Y/n* I've been having these nightmares. But I think they were messages. *shows locust symbol on necklace* Something...somethings happening to me.

Marcus: There's a place. Up north. I think we can find your answers there.

Jd: no. * grunts and presses button on scarred arm*  absolutely not! We have orders.

Kait: You'll go with me?

Y/n: I'm with you too Kait.

Jd: God damnit both of you listen!

Del: I'll go instead of Marcus. Jinn will definitely notice him missing.  And Y/n. But there is no stopping him.

Marcus: Okay. I'll push Jack the coordinates.

Jd: No, corporal, you're coming back with me to new Ephyra. That is a direct order. 

I pushed Jd away from Kait.

Y/n: Fuck off JD! This is about more than you! We are getting answers with or without you.

We walked away JD stopped Del to talk to him. 

We made it to a shed. We watched them leave.

Del: Well. Its just us now. So what's in here anyway?

Kait: A fast way out of this fucking place.

Y/n: Fair enough.

We turned on the lights and a Skiff lowered.  

Kait: Y/n.

Y/n: Yeah?

Kait: Thanks. For sticking up for me.

Y/n: No problem. Its what I do for you.

Kait: Are you sure you want to go through this with me?

Y/n sarcastic: Is water blue?

Del: Not always.

Y/n: Not helping. 

Kait: I get it.  I just needed reassurance. 

Y/n: I love you Kait. You know that.

Kait: I love you too.

Del: This is awkward for me.

Y/n: Don't worry Del. We'll find you someone after this is alm over.
