I spent the rest of the morning working out in the small wooded patch behind the house. It wasn't a big enough area to morph but I could work on my kickboxing and martial arts witch I had been neglecting since moving in a week ago. After a few hours I decided that it was time to call it a day and finish up my training with a run. I slipped in my headphones, cranked the volume up and took of down the street in no particular direction.
Somewhere around fifteen minutes into my run I started to notice a shadow to my left keeping pace with me. Finally, I looked over to see who was at my side to find out that it was Trey. I slowed my pace slightly and removed one of my ear buds. "Can I help you?" I sneered irritated by the fact that he was following me. He smirked, "You're the one that ran past me I just decided it would be interesting to see how long it took for you to realize I was next to you. Why are you always so cold twords everyone?" "I guess it's just a perk of always moving about. I find life is better without having to deal people and their problems. Plus, I'm not cold to everyone I will have you know I do have a few friends." I smiled, for some reason Trey didn't put me on edge like most humans normally do. We continued our run making small talk as we continued running with no particular direction in mind. After a while I felt my wrist vibrate, letting me know that someone was trying to get ahold of me. I slowed my pace pulling out my phone to check my messages, it was from Lys, she was wanting me to meet her back at the house.
"Hey, I need to get home it's been nice talking to you. I'll see you in class Monday." He nodded but before I could leave he stopped me, "Here this is my number call me if you need anything or maybe just want someone to show you around town." I smiled and thanked him turning on my heel and running back to the house.
When I got back to the house Lys was already waiting for me in the living room. "Hey what did you need your text sounded kind of urgent?" She turned around quickly, "Oh no sorry not super urgent really but I do need your help with something." "Ok what is it?" she turned and took off towards the back yard. I followed behind her rather confused about what was going on. Alex was already waiting for us when we got outside. "Oh great, she dragged you into this too." He groaned referring to Lys crazy shenanigans. Lys just leaned over and smacked him on the back of the head, "Shut your damn mouth or else I will give the honor of creating the entrance drop to someone else this time." "Wait entrance to what?" I asked. "I plan to create an entrance from your place to the hallow and training field back at the school. Hope you don't mind us using the willow tree but, it's the only one big enough." I just nodded my head and told her that there was no problem from my end. Alex just nodded his head the wheels already turning. "Ready?" Lys asked him. He nodded walking over to where Lys was crouched next to the tree, a vibrant green light started to flow from her hands into the ground. It was soon joined by a dark smoke twisting around the base of the tree. I couldn't visually see any changes but knowing the little bit that I do about druids, their magic doesn't usually harm it simply alters or creates new growth. Warlock magic however was a completely new concept to me, one that I cannot wait to learn more about.
They stood up and turned around, "All done, ready to try it out? This one is definitely way cooler than the other one, not sure how I am going to be able to top it." Alex said. Lys showed me the sequence to open the hatch before stepping to the side allowing me to enter. I stepped inside ready for the ride. As I expected the floor dropped from underneath me plunging me into complete darkness. The ride was amazing just as Alex had said he managed to top any expectation I had. The others dropped out just after I did still showing signs of the amazing head rush. "Ok Alex that one is going to take some getting used to wow that was fun." Lys said. "Yeah I second that one, absolutely amazing. Look I love you both but I smell like a week old gym sock. I'm going to go home and take a shower and grab some food." I said before making a B-line for the door.
I quickly ran upstairs jumping straight into the shower washing away all of the sweat and grime from my morning workout. I changed into a comfy set of sweats and a tank top before running down stairs to the kitchen. After searching through the fridge I found some left over chicken. As soon as the microwave beeped I grabbed it out running and dive bombing onto the couch. I'm not sure how long I had been glued to the tv before I fell into a food coma and passed out.
