ahn dragged herself downstairs and into the garage. she stepped into the cold room and flicked on the light switch, which didn't do anything.

"stupid light went out" she muttered to herself. reaching into her pocket to pull out her phone flashlight, she jumped at a sudden clicking sound in the room. the buzzing noise of a projector and music filled the room as the garage door was illuminated by a video. she watched quietly from where she was, as wooyoung showed up on screen, fixing his hair.

"uh. hi." he said stiffly, still awkward in front of the camera. "i should've planned what i was going to say huh." the video cut, before showing wooyoung again. "ok hi! oh thats weird too." cut. this time wooyoung stood with her brother.

"why are you filming without even knowing what to say." san asked, flicking wooyoung. the video cut again. wooyoung was alone again.

"ok. hi ahn. its wooyoung. but you know that because you can see me, i dont know why i said that. ok sorry. i'm about to do something really stupid, and hopefully it comes out well." the boy laughed nervously. "just...keep watching." the next few cuts were all videos of ahn. in one, she was playing with her brother's hair in class. in another she was walking between yunho and mingi, looking as tiny as ever. in the final one she was looking above the camera with a grin and soft eyes. "not many people know this but we practically grew up together, didn't we?" wooyoung was back on screen talking to the camera. "i've known you and san since we were 5. you guys are my best friends. well, and yeosang. anyway. i know we didn't talk after middle school started. you had your friends, your brother and i had ours."

"why does he keep talking about san?" ahn laughed to herself.

"i just- i'm glad we're friends again. i'm glad you made me dye my hair, and that you called me a pussy." wooyoung laughed at that last part, making ahn giggle too. "i spent so long living in my head and never doing anything. and i'm sorry it took so long but i have one last thing to say. so uh, if you could turn around, that'd be great." ahn whirled around as the garage lit up. lights hung from the ceiling and the walls, illuminating the room. she found herself face to face with none other than jung wooyoung.

"hey." she said, softly.

"hey." he grinned. he opened him mouth to say something, but ahn already pounced on him, jumping to kiss him. "you didnt even let me talk!" he whined when she pulled away.

"i know. you just talk too much."

"choi ahn date me."

"aren't we already dating?"

"i mean-"

"for the love of god ahn just say yes!" her brother's voice echoed through the room.

"yes." she said, looking into wooyoung's eyes. he pulled her into a hug, with a grin on his face. the atmosphere was sweet for only a moment before all hell broke loose. all the boys jumped out of their hiding places, with a variety of confetti launched through the air. they both let out loud laughs, but didn't let go of each other. wooyoung closed his eyes, resting his head on ahn's shoulder and she buried her head into his neck. he heard yunho yell in the background.

"fucking finally."
