---Will's POV---

As soon as those words left David's mouth, I knew that it would cause trouble. And like I suspected, Kim's head snapped up, her face turned towards David's voice while her mouth was slightly opened. I shot David a glare, what made him shuffle slightly when I noticed that Kim became pale.

"True." She mouthed and I bit on my lip while I growled through the mind-link at David. Kath was starting to notice the changes in Kim, so I quickly joked about it. "Hey Kim, looks like you would believe David."

Kim blushed a little, looking down. I stared at her blushing cheeks like they were the most interesting things in the world. She looked cute when she blushed. I shook my head slightly before I continued, leaning closer to Kim to whisper in her ear. "Don't believe that tool, he just believes in his statement. A few years ago, he actually believed that he won the lottery and already ordered a brand new car."

A smile tugged on Kim's lips, making me smile as well; her face seemed to light up, cleared of all worries and pain. "No!", she exclaimed, turning towards me while she slightly tilted her head. "What did he do with the car?"

I smirked at the memory while I told her "He tried to convince the car-dealer that he was robbed so he couldn't pay for the car. But they saw right through it and called David's parents. He has to pay it back to them, with interest." David was blushing with embarrassment and grumbled "Shut up!" when the others started laughing with him.

Kim was laughing with the others, but the small frown between her eyebrows told me that she was still contemplating David's words. "Mate, speak to mate." My wolf spoke up and I found myself staring at Kim's bare neck. Just when I was about to ask her out, yet again, Kath interrupted us.

"Hey Kim, I'm going to David's after school, you know, he'll be teaching me math." Kath said, slowly blushing when Kim just raised her eyebrows at her. David was looking at Kath as well and I smirked knowingly. David found out that Kath was his mate; all it took was a look in the eyes.

Which reminded me, I wasn't truly bonded with Kim because she constantly wore those glasses. I sighed slightly, thinking about a way to look straight in her eyes. That way, we would have a stronger bond, emotionally and physically.

"Don't worry son, I'm researching the matter right now. I might have a way to strengthen your bonds." I sighed again, taking a deep breath to calm myself. Apparently, my distress was so great that it had alarmed father.

"Thanks dad." I muttered, gratitude filling me up. Although I have behaved like an ass over the years, my family stood behind me.

"...So, you'll probably have to look for a ride on Tuesdays and Thursdays." Kath finished her sentence, making me look up with a confused look on my face. Oh, right. She was discussing something with Kim.

Kim pulled the cane out of her back, receiving some curious looks from the others before she shook her head. "Don't worry Kath, I'll walk home. I haven't got any more classes this afternoon, so I'll be on my way." Reassuring Kath while she unfolded her cane.

I placed a hand on hers to still the motion. "Wait a second, I'll give you a ride. Problem solved." I smirked, feeling very pleased with myself while my wolf purred in content. Having the choice to stay with my mate for a few more hours? Yes, please.

But, my perfect little bubble was pricked when Kim stiffened under my touch and shook her head. "Sorry, but I can't accept that." She pulled her hand out of my grasp, or at least, she tried to. I ignored her pull and held her hand while I cocked my head to the side.

"Why not?" God, I was turning in a whiny kid. I was begging a girl I've barely met to pick her up and drop her off to school? What happened to the cocky flirt, player of the Uni?
