Y/N walked away from the sidewalk to cross the road to enter the neighborhood. As it turned out, Zim's house was actually a block away from the girl's home. While walking, Y/N's phone vibrated in her pocket, letting her know she had received a message.
She continued walking, taking her phone out, and seeing the text.
Mom: Hey honey, are you coming home yet?
Y/N smiled at the message and responded back.
Y/N: Yea, I'll be home soon. I'm gonna hang out at a new friend's house. Don't worry. They're in the same neighborhood as me.
Her mom saw the text and responded quickly.
Mom: Alright honey. Just be careful and be back by 6. Love you.
Y/N smiled as she put her phone away and looked at Zim, who was watching her the whole time.
"Human? What is that device you hold?" Zim questioned. Y/N smiled and explained.
"It's a phone, it's used for texting and calling people." Zim nodded at her words and both of them continued walking. However, Y/N was wondering one thing while walking with the green kid.
"Yup, totally an alien...but...I don't mind it! is that..weird?"
Before she knew it, Y/N arrived at Zim's home. Zim smiled and turned towards her. "We are home!" Y/N looked at the house.
And it was quite a sight.
It was triangular in shape, colored with a green coat finished off with purple windows. The lawn was lined with gnomes that looked at Y/N in a strange way, which bugged her out.
To say the least, it was a very inhuman structure.
She shrugged it off and continued with Zim, walking toward the door to the house, with the gnomes eyeing her like coyotes. She watched Zim open his door and was greeted by what looked to be a green dog.
"Master! You're home!! And who's the pretty lady?!" The dog screamed in happiness and looked at Y/N. Zim lured the girl in and closed the door, seemingly annoyed at the dog. "GIR! This is my new..." friend", Y/N." The dog named Gir smiled and giggled. "Y/N! That's a funny name! Hehehe!" Y/N giggled softly at this, finding the dog absolutely adorable. She thinks to herself,
"And a green dog!? Okay, he's so cute!!!"
Y/N seemed to gloss over the fact that the dog talked, but she shrugged it off, pretty convinced that Zim was an alien at this point and well,
anything can happen, right?
Zim groaned in frustration. "Yes, Gir..." Y/N seemed to be confused about why Zim was so frustrated with the dog. Maybe it was due to Gir's hyperactivity, but she didn't know.
It was her first time in the house anyway.
Gir seemed to calm down as he made his way toward Y/N, hugging her leg and cuddling it. "The pretty lady is warm..." Gir spoke in a cute whispery voice, and soon after, the dog seemed to have fallen asleep on her leg. This action annoyed Zim even more.
"GIR! Off of Y/N! Go make some..tacos or something!" Zim barked at Gir, who immediately woke up from the trance and saluted Zim. "Yes sir!" The dog spoke as he made his way into the kitchen, leaving Zim and Y/N in the living room alone.
Y/N smiled. "Awe...Zim. You didn't tell me you had a dog! He's so cute!" Zim scoffed at this and retorted, "Yeah whatever. He's okay. Sometimes. Gir can be a strange ser- pet." Zim looked at Y/N who nodded. She got pretty used to the subject changes that he would do. She even thought it was kinda..cute.
Zim made his way toward the couch and he scooted over to allow room for Y/N, who obliged and sat next to him.
"Well, Zim..." Y/N spoke, making Zim's purple eyes look toward Y/N. "You have an...interesting home. To say the least."
