"Yeah that's cute wear that with them shorts you got on now" karmen said on the phone

We was on FaceTime and she was helping figure things out for this party that was in a hour

"Should I show a little stomach?" I asked trying to be quiet at the same time because Mel was in the house

I felt like a little ass kid sneaking around but with him I guess that's what I gotta do

I tied my shirt so I can show off my belly piercing

The only reason I got that is because I snuck and got it when I turned 16

I laughed thinking about it

"Now I'm finna finish getting ready just hit me up when you ready for me too come" she said

I grabbed  my phone and nodded my head

"Ight call you later" I said hanging up

I took a deep breath

"Aye marieeee!" I heard him call my name from downstairs

My heart started pumping

I went too my door and cracked it a little

"Yeahhhhh" I yelled back

"I'll be back later I love you" He said opening the front door it sounded like

"Love you too" I shouted back

"Don't leave or ima beat yo ass" he said while slamming the front door

At least sneaking out will be easier

I shrugged grabbing my purse and phone to go sit downstairs in the living room

We lived in a 3 bedroom house and it was plenty of space

My brother don't speak much about where he get his money from

But I ain't dumb I know he not doing shit that won't get you in jail

I put my stuff on the counter and went in the fridge and got my apple juice out

I took the lid off and drunk out the gallon

It was mine sooooo it's not nasty i don't care.

I put the lid back on and placed it in the fridge

I looked at the time on the microwave

The party already started 5 minutes ago

But we ain't finna go early and look like we thirsty for the damn party
