"So what's going on with you and the black man" Lizzy said will curling her hair in the mirror
"Why do you keep calling him that his name is Quan" I said rolling my eyes sitting on the sink watching my cousin get ready for the family dinner
"You know uncle tim is gonna start questioning youuuuuu" she said smiling being messy speaking of my dad
"I'm not ready to tell him" I said
"Well you need too you can't hide the baby all your fucking life" she said
I sat back irritated
daddy is gonna flip his shit when he finds out Renzo is mixed with a black man
he's hates black people and anybody that has to do with it
I even told him that I named my baby august so I wouldn't give any black vibes

she admired her self in the mirror

"Okay whatever go in the closet and grab me some flats too match my outfit so we can go ahead a go" she said
I jumped off the bathroom sink and walked back into her bedroom
She had a big walk in closet that I stepped inside of to find her some shoes
I grabbed the black ones with rhinestones not caring what the hell she looked like wearing them
"Now hurry we was supposed to been there 10 mins ago" I said rushing her
"fine I'm coming" she said looking in the mirror one last time

Bookie sat on the edge of my bed playing the game while I was rocking renzo to sleep
he looked back at and chuckled
"Couldn't be me" he said underneath his breath
He's been saying little slick shit ever since Quan had me babysit him
"Okay can you stop doing that I know I know" I said frustrated
