I arrived at the cave I now use as my training grounds a while ago and now I have been living at a camp nearby. I do not trust living in a big city, I haven't since I discovered my powers, it just seems to risky. I walked from my camp to the cave and prepared myself, you see my powers allow me to control stone and to a lesser extent metal, I use this ability occasionally to travel long distances by creating a stone platform that I climb on and use to travel through the sky.
I began to form rock orbs and launched them at the stone training targets that I formed, I have been doing this every day for a long time, it has become more of a basic routine than actual training, I decided that I should go out and hunt for some food, I was beginning to run low from the deer I had caught a few days back. As I was walking through the woods with my bow ready I heard something moving, I walked towards the direction careful not to make any noise. As I got near where I assumed the sound had come from I heard a gunshot and felt a bullet hit me in the shoulder, I tried to make a rock shield, but didn't finish fast enough… I fell to the ground and blacked out.
“Are you okay, I’m sorry, I was shooting a buck and the bullet went straight threw it, the doctor was able to mostly clear it out, but you will need to rest for a while until they can get the last pieces out and your body can heal.” I heard as I could see through blurry vision a man standing near me while I was laying on a bed in some sort of hospital somewhere.
“Where am I?” I asked the man.
“A hospital in Portside, it was the closest town to where we were when the accident happened, I put you in my truck and drove you here as fast as I could, I'm gonna go now, I’m sorry about what happened but I do hope that you get better and can go back to the things you do in your normal life.” The man said before walking out of the room.
I used my powers to force what shards of the bullet were still in my body out, it hurt horribly but I needed to get back to my camp. I climbed out of the bed and opened up the window, I was on the fifth floor, there was only one way out of here that won't draw attention from the doctors in the hallway. I used my powers to lift up a stone platform up to the window, I then climbed onto it and used it to go back towards the woods, I have no idea where I am in comparison to my camp but I need to get back there, I lowered the platform and got off in the woods. I can’t go back to that town for a bit, they will be looking for me probably thinking I got kidnapped or something.
It took me a long time, but I got back to my camp but it was burned down, the campfire had spread to something while I was gone, which that something must have then spread it to either the tent or the grass, but the whole thing was burnt down, I suppose that I have to move on, and continue my journey. Maybe this is just fate trying to tell me that I should have stayed in Portside, maybe I have trained enough and I am ready to join the action in protecting this world, I mean I saved the forest when the ocean was overflowing in the city not too far from here known as Magnys by making a giant rock wall to protect it, but there has to be more that I can do.
I gathered what stuff was left unscorched and closed the cave with my powers, “From now on, I will try my best to help the people of this world.” I said out loud to myself as I put out what fire was left on my camp, luckily enough it hadn't spread to the trees before I put it out.
