Jakes POV

I put my phone down and sighed. Z wasn't willing to help me help Tom. She thinks that it won't be good for him in the long run and will just hurt me.

I knew it would hurt me but unlike Zendaya, I think it would help Tom.

I want to help him get someone who cares about him. A boyfriend.

I had a few people in mind. I think the best choice for Tom would be my friend Zach (made up person). Zach is very sweet and attractive. He had curly black hair and lots of tattoos. If I wasn't so in love with Tom I'd probably like him.

I took my phone out and messaged Zach. I'm not exactly ecstatic about Tom possibly being in a relationship with someone who isn't me but I'm glad I know they'll treat him right.

I took some painkillers for my forming headache and fell asleep.

Toms POV

I woke up just as the sun was rising and a sliver of light filled my room. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, blindly reaching for my phone.

   I was checking my messages when I saw a new message from an unknown number. Curious as to how someone got my number, I clicked on it.

  Unknown: hey tom :) my name is zach and my friend jake, your spiderman co-star gave me your number. wait obviously you know who jake is, sorry i'm a little stupid haha. anyways he said you might be interested in going on a date with me. would you?

  I stared at my phone, feeling my eyes tear up. If Jake told someone else to ask me out then that means he obviously  isn't interested in me. Not that I didn't know that before but this felt like a punch to the gut.

   I decided to say yes. I knew I would have to get over Jake eventually so why not start now.

   As we worked out the details of the date I felt myself get excited. It had been so long since I've been on a date, and my first date with a man. Yes it's been so long that last time I thought I was straight.

  Our date was tonight at 6pm. It would have to be a quick date as I had a flight to America at 10pm.

  I started excitedly picking out my outfit and got ready for the day.

(I forgot to mention, Zach lives in London so that's why they're able to go on a date. Also the reason Tom is waking up just as Jake fell asleep is because of the time difference between London and L.A.)

  Jakes POV

I woke up at in a cold sweat at 3am. My dreams had been worse ever since the press tour ended and I'm so exhausted from lack of sleep.

   I started crying out of frustration, which only made me more frustrated. I sat up and let the tears fall until my phone started ringing.

  Incoming call from: tom <3

I smiled, my mood immediately getting better as I raised my phone to my ear. I started frantically wiping at my tears, as if Tom could see them through the phone.

"Hey Jake! Thanks for getting me a date today! Sorry I have no time to talk right now but I'll tell you how it went later. Bye!"

He hung up before I could answer, but I don't think I would've been able to talk if he let me.

I didn't think it would hurt this much

I started sobbing and knew I wasn't stopping anytime soon.
