It was the weekend finally! I was happy because it was an extended weekend. My best friend and I were going to the new club opened up down derren st and we weren't going to miss it for anything.
I was in my room applying some light make up on and figuring out what outfit to wear. My best friend Lilly was lying on my bed flipping through a magazine.
I could do a gold top with black skirt or I could wear my new leather corset dress. Both were excellent choices and I wanted to have both, but one would have to be saved for another night.
"Neither." My friend Lilly looked at me and shook her head.
"What, why?" I asked her.
"Cause neither are your style, you look to young and child like for that fashion."
"What do you mean? No I dont." I argued back, with a pout.
"Oh please! Don't do that and tell me you don't, you're 4'9 and 95 pounds. You're wearing a pastel tshirt and pastel unicorn overalls with baby pink dreadlocks, leather is not for you honey." Lilly snorted and rolled her eyes at me.
I was still pouting, I guess she was sorta right. But just cause I'm tiny doesn't mean I can't wear leather.
"Then what should I wear oh wise one of the fashion police." I sassed her.
"Alright be that way." She got up off my bed and walked over to my closet and started filing through my clothes. I guess I do have a lot of pastel, but I won't admit it to her.
"Ok, here." She pulls out a red hanger that holds a pastel baby pink poofy dress.
"No! That won't work either! It's too pink for the club!" I whine at her.
"Ugh, why must you be so difficult!" She complains back.
Soon I had a idea pop in my head and I went on my hands and knees and crawled under all my clothes to the back of the closet.
"What are you going for?" Lilly asks as she back out of my way.

"These!" I say as I pull a white box out and get up to set it on my bed. She walks by my side and gives me a questioning look.
Without speaking I pop the top of the lid off to reveal a pastel pink and purple ,color long sleeve shirt that has black bats and moons all over with small stars. I smile to myself and run over to my dresser and pull out my fish net stockings and begin to get dressed.
"What in the hell is that?" she asks as she watches me continuing to dress.

"A little bit of both!" I beam happily as I give a small twirl, even though it made no spin on the long sleeved dress.

"Whelp, I guess that works." she shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"I thought so." I smiled happily as I gathered the rest of my belongings, I walked to my door and turned to look at her, "Well, are you coming silly Lilly?" I loved calling her that, she glared at me and continued to follow with me.

I went down the stairs and went over to the couch to grab my stuffed multicolored pastel kiwi bird. he was a little bird I got as one of my favorite store when me and Lilly went shopping one day. his name is pascal. I stole it from Rapunzel, one of my favorite Disney movies.

"Nikki, why are you bringing him? we're going to the club, not some plushie party." she says as she walks by and towards the front door. I pouted, she knew why I needed him. I gave a small glare as I joined her side as we walked out, Pascal, still in my hands.

"You know why." I whispered. I got in her passenger side of her 2020 Audi R8. this ride was super nice and pretty, it was a very expensive and black. her parents had a lot of money. I curled into a ball in the passenger side as I was holding pascal and watching a she began to drive towards the venue.

See, I had a fear of cars, my parents were in an accident and had collide with a drunk driver, off the side of a wide turn hanging over a cliff. luckily I wasn't in the car, I was with my grandma at the time, when she was still alive. since then i feared cars like nobody's business. the only way i found a way to cope when i have to be in one was if i had a plushie with me at all times. it gave me comfort, a feeling of safety when i'd be constantly thinking the same thing is  going to happen to me like it did with my parents. i don't have anyone left in my family. Lilly here has been with me through all of it, since it happened when i was sixteen, Lilly's parent's took me in and adopted me so i wouldn't be stuck it foster care like the rest of the kids.

"Hey, cupcake, we're here, the car's not moving anymore. you're safe." i hear Lilly whisper to me. i feel her hand petting my hair, as i slowly begin to open my eyes, i realized were parked in a parking garage

"Oh, sorry." i mutter as i start to get out of the car. i got scared again. i looked down to see my hands shaking slightly. it's getting better, i used to shake so bad i couldn't move till i stopped. i guess you could say I've come a long way since I've been going to therapy.

"Ready to go have some fun?" Lilly asks me cutting into my train of thought, her hand playing with my dreads again. i give her a soft smile and nod my head. "Awe, you're so cute, but the kiwi's gotta stay in the car." she tells me, i instantly frown. i shake my head at her. "C'mon, you look like a child, no guy's gonna ask you out." she raises an eyebrow getting me to cave. doesn't work.

"I don't care, i don't need one anyways." i tell her as i begin to walk towards the building.

"Fine but I'm going to be busy scoping out the hot guys tonight." she says letting me know firmly.

"Okay." i tell her as we walk in and pay our way. well, Lilly paid my way, she pays for everything all the time, i don't work because most places wont let you have a job until you're eighteen. i had been going to school but i quit because i didn't like the classes i was taking. so i would help Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe at their small business that they held locally in town, they owned a little tea shop outside the city with a book shop next door. that was just a hobby that Mrs. Wolfe had, her husband would help out on his off time but he owned Sliver mines, a mining company that was huge in this city.

we walked in and the music was loud with plenty of people dancing to the beat that made my heart bounce to, is that considered too loud? i looked around some more, down the short staircase was the main dance floor, up a short level were booths and tables placed everywhere, most tables didn't have chairs as most people were moving around and dancing. to the left was the bar and to the right was a lounging area for the guests, and above was a loft that stuck out above the DJ table, which was probably the VIP room.

i know a club and i got it being 17 years old? how? well the bouncer checked ID's and would give us a bracelet to wear, minor's had pink, to let the bar know who could and couldn't drink and those who could wore a purple bracelet. and it was a style of a zip tie, so you couldn't take it off until you left. so you couldn't lie to the workers here.

the place was awesome here, and everyone was having a good time, i already caught Lilly getting drinks at the bar. i shook my head and watched as she danced over to me. i was still standing there like a goofball as i awkwardly hugged my kiwi. maybe this was a little much for me still. i didn't go to parties often, this was Lilly's thing, but she begged me to go with her. and Mrs. Wolfe had closed the shop down today because she had meetings to attend to with the staff. typically i'd be hiding in the corner of the shop with my cup of tea reading one of the books off the shelf.

"C'mon girl! get out on the dance floor and jam with me!" she shouted over the music at me taking a swig of her drink. i already felt uncomfortable.

"Hey, girl, need someone to dance with?" a young boy behind Lilly asked as he grabbed her hips and swayed with her to the music, he was tall and skinny and had that fuck boi hairstyle that every guy in high school has. i wanted to gag. that wasn't my type at all.

"yeah, ditch your sister and come party with us, isn't she a little young to be here?" the second one asked, he was a little bigger in muscle and had blond hair, say style as the first boy.

"nope, she's seventeen, she can be here, you twat, now come dance with me! Nikki honey, i'll be back in twenty minutes tops!" she said and kissed my forehead and took the boy's arms and walked to the dance floor.

i sighed, knowing this was going to happen. i looked around again and decided i was thirsty. i timidly walked over to the bar and struggled to climb the bar stool and sit down, waiting for someone to come and serve me. everyone was loud over here too, people were already drunk and waving their money around for more rounds. i didn't even bother asking, i was just gonna sit here until someone noticed me.
