Ever since I learned how to read, I fell inlove with books until today I still love reading and I don't have any preferrence in terms of genre of books, if I find a particular book interesting to read, I will read it.

Once when I was a kid, our neighbor had a book called "Halamang Gamot" it was a book with photos of plants that can be a natural remedy of minor sickness or bruises. As a kid it was unsual for a kid to read a book about natural remedies since kids should read picture books or fairy tales. But I still got really interested in it.

These are some of the things I've learned while reading:

- Guave Leaves (Bayabas)

Diarrhea
Guava-leaf extracts inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, a common cause of diarrhea. People suffering from diarrhea who drink guava leaf tea may experience less abdominal pain, fewer and less watery stools, and a quicker recovery, according to Drugs.com. Add the leaves and root of guava to a cup of boiling water, strain the water and consume it on an empty stomach for quick relief.

Promotes Weight Loss
Yes, you read it right, We can also used Guava leaves to shed the extra inches around your belly? Sip into guava leaf tea. Guava leaves help prevent complex carbs from turning into sugars, promoting rapid weight loss. Drink guava leaves tea or juice regularly to reap the benefits.

- Oregano
Oregano and tomato is a classis combination in terms of cooking, but here in our country, in the Philippines we used it as a cough relief, and to tell you the truth I really hate it since it tastes bitter, so we add calamansi juice to lessen the bitterness for a little.

And we can also used this for the skin by treating acne or pimples. It has amazing antifungal, antiseptic and antioxidant properties. Repelling Insects both carvacrol and thymol may be effective insect-repellents. In 2017,researchers found that these compounds repelled some ticks and mosquitos, but rubbing diluted oregano oil on the skin may be a natural way to help repel insects. It can also be used by applying diluted oregano oil to the skin to protect smaller cuts and scrapes on the skin as they heal. Compounds such as thymol and carvacrol could protect these types of wound from bacterial infections. If you love outdoor activities, such as hiking or camping you may want to use some oregano oil to repel those insects away, help heal your wounds and you can also add oregano on your cooking.

When I was kid, information was not that accessible since we need to really on libraries and books, but today with just one click information is at your very eyes right away.
