"Ah, feels good to just stretch out..." Lumen says to herself as she wakes up for the morning. She stretches out her arms and gets out of bed before heading into the hallways. That's when she notices that Jack hasn't woken up yet. "Huh... That's the first time I've woken up before him... He'd always be the first one up..." And then she hears him groaning as if in pain.

"Ugh..." Jack mumbles.

"Jack? Are you in there?" Lumen asks.

"...Lumen?" Jack mumbles as Lumen peeks into his room. Jack's bed is fairly disheveled and he looks like he's been tossing and turning. "Morning..."

"Jack? Are you okay?" Lumen asks.

"Yeah I think I'm fine." Jack replies as he slowly gets out of bed. He stumbles around a couple steps but otherwise he seems to be holding up pretty well.

"I doubt it." Lumen says to herself as she does her normal morning routine. Jack follows suit albeit at a slower pace than normal, but then everything begins to kick in.

"Well... Time... To head to class..." Jack says.

"I don't think you're in any condition to go to class. let alone drive." Lumen replies. "I'd stay home if I were you."

"Nope... I think I'm... Just... Fine... Ah!" Jack finally says before he collapses. Lumen quickly breaks his fall and carries him over to one of the sofas.

"Jack you sure are a stubborn one." Lumen chuckles. "Don't worry I'll help you catch up." She adds as she takes Jack's backpack, wallet and keys. With her mind made up she leaves Jack to rest at home as she gets into his car, having studied how he drives long enough to know something about driving. "It's just like back in my world." She says to herself as she drives to class. Much to her surprise she makes it safely as she finds a parking spot and heads to Jack's classroom.

"Hello-huh? Where's Jack?" The professor asks.

"He's home sick." Lumen replies. "He'd collapsed and fell unconscious."

"My good lord is he okay?" The professor asks.

"He'll probably recover soon, it might be a bad cold." Lumen replies. "He's done a lot for me so I thought to return the favor by making sure he doesn't miss out on any classwork."

"I'm very sure he's lucky to be hosting such a diligent student like you." The professor says as the rest of the class comes in, and they quickly notice Jack's absence.

"Dude he like never misses class!" One of the students says.

"I know!" Another says. "Hey um... What's your name?"

"I'm Lumen." Lumen replies.

"What's going on? Is he alright?" The student asks.

"He's out sick. Was really sluggish this morning, and then he just... Collapsed."

"I hope he gets better." The student replies as the class begins. With an empty spot right next to Lumen all of the guys were planning to find a spot next to her and hit on her, but Lumen simply dumps Jack's backpack in that spot, stopping the guys from pulling any moves and distracting her. The class is fairly uneventful as Lumen keeps to herself during the scheduled break, and when she finally heads home, Jack is still out like a light on the sofa.

"Oh... It was worse than I thought... I really do hope he's okay..." Lumen says, and suddenly, Jack comes to his senses.

"Ugh... What the hell happened?" Jack asks groggily. "Last thing I saw was your panicked face... And then I'm here..."

"You passed out." Lumen replies.

"So that's what happened... Why do you have my backpack?" Jack asks.

"I went to class in your place." Lumen replies. "I don't think you're in any condition to do much though. Just try to rest it off alright? I'll go and whip up something for lunch."

"...Thank you so much Lumen..." Jack says before trying his best to nap.

"*sigh* I wish I could do the same thing for GV, but being in a fairy-like form really limits what I can do..." Lumen says to herself. "At least I can express my gratitude with Jack. Almost like GV he was the one that reached out when all hope seemed bleak. If it weren't for him I'd probably be stuck here, possibly forever... I'm gonna miss him when I finally find a way to get back to my world and by GV's side." She mumbles to herself as she whips up something for her and Jack.
