Highschool. The chiched regular book and movie topic. Of course it was
either a playhouse or a nightmare, every highschool no matter the
context will have the popular group, nerds, jocks, etc etc I think you
get the point. This was no different, the...
Cassidy chose to walk her way to the dining establishment, since she didn't have a means of getting there, her moms car was still at the hospital. (I'm in me mums car vroom vroom)
Jordan hopped on his motorcycle, he could smell Cassidy's leftover perfume floating around, he clenched his fists around the handlebars and angrily kicked the stand out from under the motorcycle.
His trip to S.E was only about a 20 minute walk and a 5 minute ride, adding if there is traffic, road blocks, etc. The roar of his motorcycle could be heard all around passed neighborhoods, trailer parks, and schools. His bike was pretty old, and by pretty old it belonged to his grandpa to his dad and then finally to him. He plans on passing it along another generation if he ever has kids, but honestly the only person he's ever felt that connected to, left.
It was both of their faults, but Jordan took all the blame onto himself for Cassidy's sake. His wet hair made the humidity under his helmet even worse and he just decided after a while to pull over and put it in the back compartment.
Cassidy watched as racing cars passed by her small figure, she was a small atom in this great big world. She began to ponder why she was even there. She isn't there anymore for Jordan if that wasn't obvious, but a small voice inside of her said that she should forgive him, he shouldn't have put his hands on her like that but she could have just told him off and not broken him so badly.
It took a lot of built-up will power and strength to hold back quiet tears as she approached the high school she attends, giving it a dirty sort of look, like a 'see you in hell' sort of look. This was followed by a raising of her middle finger, she stuck out her tongue at this 'house of knowledge' and finally passed it.
Jordan arrived at S.E and parked his bike on the side of the parking lot to not get in the way of cars. He took a seat in one of the 50's-ish booths and ordered himself a large vanilla milkshake and a burger.
It took Cassidy about 10 minutes to get there after Jordan, she came in as the bell made its happy little bling bling noise at the entrance of a new patron. She looked around for good seats until she managed to lock eyes with a familiar face.
Staring back at her was none other than Rose, her "best friend" she was joined by a couple of different guys and girls a small mix that took up a good chunk of a single booth. Cass walked over to the booth and flashed them a small smile, sitting down next to the only person she really recognized, Rose.
"Where have you been!?" Roses voice echoed off of the tile walls, "Nowhere really my moms at the hospital an-" she was cut off by a 'concerned' Rose, "OH MY GOD! Is she okay? What happened?" As Cassidy was rained with question after question she just looked at Rose and said, "She's fine" and smiled
Rose crossed her arms, Cassidy hasn't actually answered most of her questions. Her attention anyway eventually drifted to a guy she had brought in, making Rose strike up a 'risqué conversation.
This left Cassidy's eyes to wander around the small establishment until her eyes found a familiar, dark-haired man sitting on the opposite side of the diner, with a giant burger in his mouth. She cringed a little because his jaw was so wide that it looked like he was a snake about to eat it's first meal.
Eventually Jordan looked up and met eyes with Cassidy he smiled softly and pat the seat next to him, all he wanted was to talk things out with her. Cassidy looked between her friends, and then back at Jordan.
After about 7 minutes of careful consideration she decided to go over to him, "Hey..." she waved awkwardly at him, it was like they didn't even known each other. She sat down across from him for better conversation.
Jordan started the conversation, "So um.. I'm really really sorry I shouldn't have- and you just- I feel really bad about it I shouldn't of done that and maybe last night was a mistake and we shouldn't have kissed and all that like.." she looked at him with two kind eyes, "It's okay we both were scared and in the moment."
She processed everything he had said over once again, "And I don't regret even a small bit of the things we did last night none of it. It's the best I've felt in.. well forever" he smiled and patted the seat next to him, she migrated and he cupped her cheek stroking it back and forth with his thumb.
Jordan planted a small kiss on her forehead and released her cheek, "One thing at a time" he smiled and she returned the favor by grabbing his hand and holding it under the table.
They shared the milkshake Jordan was previously feasting on in his lonesome, both taking sips out of the same straw. They had already swapped germs in an act of emotional crisis so what did it matter if they just drank out of the same cup.
Cassidy's face flushed with a light pink color, realizing that she has finally gotten Jordan back in her arms again. He missed her more that he could even comprehend and Cassidy shared the feeling. They had already grown so close after just one day of being 'friends' it was insane, like they were meant to be together and apart they were nothing.
By the end of this now date Cassidy ended up with her head resting on Jordan's shoulder, his hand slithered around her back and held her tightly to his warm body.
As they left he ushered her onto his motorcycle, planting the helmet on her head once again, she was getting small memorable flashbacks to the last night.
This was so fun to write honestly I'm falling in love with these two! I really hope you guys are enjoying this!
