ROSE IN HARLEM
some where in
los angeles, cali !"seven?!" zion shrieked as they all entered the house. the boys had gotten there about ten minutes earlier than brandon and trinity so they ended up waiting. but zion couldn't believe the name austin chose still.
trinity smacked her lips, "shut up!" she laughed, "and it's pronounced zeh-ven," she was in love with the name. it was spelt xeven but pronounced like seven with a z. it was different and she knew she could count on austin to be unique.
"i agree. that shits lowkey fire," nick rubbed his head.
edwin nodded, "ian' never heard it anywhere," everyone was drained from playing baby games and packing up all the gifts which they still had to carry in, but were gonna' save it for another day.
"is the father happy with it?" zion asked, looking over at brandon. he hasn't said much ever since he got picked on by haile about leaving trinity alone for such a long time and especially with maggie.
"i said it was perfect," his tone of words dripped with attitude making trinity shake her head.
"i think i'ma give diamond a call and let her know the name and everything before i go to sleep," she slippes her feet right back into her slides. "i'll be inside in a second," she headed back out, ignoring their responses.
the phone didn't even have to ring the full second time before diamond picked up. "babe! did you find out the name?" she sounded excited.
"yeah," trinity was less enthusiastic, "his name is xeven," she smiled thinking about her son already two, three years from now.
diamond was silent, "what kind of name is that,"
trinity laughed loudly, "you and zion are some haters," the name was perfect to her and no one had to like it but her and austin cause that's all that mattered.
"i'm just sayin'," diamond defended herself. "it's not ugly though,"
"i know it isn't," trinity got smart. "anyway, i just called cause' i really miss you and i think i'm coming home sooner than i planned," she let diamond know.
"wait really? what did he do this time?"
"nothing. i'm just overreacting, but honestly he had all his family with him and i was just kind of there cause' i had to be there, y'know? like i really wish momma' would've took off work for a couple days or something but it's just me being homesick,"
"awe babes,"
"yeah," the air began to get colder so she decided it was time to go in. "i'm outside though cause' i haven't said anything yet. so i'll look at the flights and then call you maybe next week,"
"sounds good. don't stress yourself too much. i love you,"
"i love you too,"
trinity hung up, heading back inside to go and get ready to take a warm shower and a long awaited nap. but just before she could enter the house, the presence of brandon had startled her.
"oh," she jumped out of shock, but instantly smiled just seeing his face. "hey baby, i was just coming in,"
but his face remained hardend, "so you were just gonna' leave with my son and not say nothing?" his brows knitted.
trinity grew defensive, "clearly you heard my whole conversation and clearly you missed the part where i said i feel out of place,"
"you have my son, you can't just leave me," he argued. "i thought we were doing better,"
"we are!" trinity shot back. "i'm literally moving here to be with you and to parent our baby," she tried to go inside, growing colder by the second. "can we not do this outside,"
"then let me go back to new york with you," his face softened. "i'm sorry i was with maggie all night, i just got caught up in conversation,"
"wow," trinity scoffed, "caught up with a whole nother bitch at your child's baby shower,"
the air was thick, "i don't want to argue anymore," brandon sighed.
"i can't control who you hang out with," trinity placed a hand on his face, making him look at her, "i love you and i'm here for you but when you lash out over your own mistakes, it makes me feel some type of way,"
"and i'm sorry," his lips grew pouty, "now give me a kiss," he puckered them up.
trinity rolled her eyes, smiling ad she leaned in to peck his lips.
it didn't change the fact that she still wanted to go back home for a little bit and get a head start on her goodbye's.
she knew these past few fights were nothing compared to what was about to come up.
