Quinn's POV
It has been a couple of weeks since my encounter with Nick and just like I thought, I haven't seen him since that day. Everything has been pretty normal around here as of late, I have gotten letters from Brenton telling me everything he has been up to and more importantly in his last letter he told that he has gotten approved for his using 60 days of paid vacation but he wasn't sure when he will be able to come home just yet. Things seem to be going smoothly in my life which makes me think that something horrible is just around the corner,
one thing that I have noticed as of late is that when it comes to my family we act more like roommates than a family and it hit me last night at dinner that my family and I are always busy that we haven't did anything as a family lately, but after talking to my dad about it he agreed with me that we need to do something, and the next morning my dad announced that we are starting our annual trips up to the Upper Peninsula again. Grandma Etta and her late husband Grandpa Bill bought a massive home up there for a yearly family reunion, and when dad told grandma about his idea she just lights up and starting about all the memories that she has with our family up there.
But as for right now I am currently in my room with Tiffany and Anthony who came over to spend the day with me, Tiffany and I are in my closet trying to figure out my fall wardrobe and of course Anthony is laying on my bed complaining that he is bored and how listing to Tiffany and I talk about clothes is worse than anything. "I just don't know Tiffany, maybe we are looking at this all wrong."I say and Tiffany doesn't look at me as she tries to figure out what to place in my fall wardrobe and what take out, "I already told you that you need to let me take you shopping to some of the places I buy my clothes at." I look at Tiffany not really hating the idea because I have always love Tiffany's fashion, it is a risky fashion choices because Tiffany loves to show off her body, but when you have that kind of toughness it pays off.
"I could never dress like you Tiffany, you have more confidents in your pinky that I have in my whole body, and besides to get a wardrobe like that I would have to go to place like Wealthy Waters which is the most luxuries store and places where the Bentley siblings shop." Tiffany and I let out a laugh as Anthony voices travels into the closet, "No offense Tiffany, but I don't think Quinn can pull of that woman of night look like you can." Tiffany storms out of the closet and before I can catch her I hear the sound of a loud slap and Anthony's voice, "OW!" He yells and I walk out of the closet to see him rubbing the back of his head, "You had that one coming." Tiffany snaps at him as she flips her hair over her shoulder and turns her attention back to me.
"Why don't you try shopping at Avila, it isn't a luxury store but they have great clothes." I nod my head thinking to myself that it isn't such a bad idea, "We should go when we both days off again." Tiffany claps her hands excited as she sits down next to Anthony, "What are you planning on wearing to the grand opening of Spitfires?" I look at Tiffany wondering what she is talking about and Anthony just rolls his eyes, "You look confused." Tiffany grabs her purse and pulls out a crumpled-up piece of paper and hands it to me.I take the paper and look at it to see that it is flyer for a grand opening of a place called Spitfires,
but when my eyes land of performances I see a familiar name, "This is where Chris's full-time gig will be?" Both Anthony and Tiffany both nod their heads, "You were planning on going out with us tonight?" I feel a little awkward getting put on the spot like that. On one hand Chris is my best friend and I kind of already told him that I would be there, and on the other hand clubs aren't exactly my type of scene. "Yeah, I don't know, I had a whole different idea on my night." Anthony lets out a huge laugh which gets the attention of both Tiffany and I, "What are you laughing at?" Tiffany asks as a laughing Anthony points at me,
"I can't see Quinn at a club with boozes and people grinding on each other." I am little taken back because I know I don't party a lot like some of my friends but I am in no way a sheltered and naive girl that isn't aware of the true dangers in this world, that role belongs to another girl. "No matter the circumstance, I just can't see Quinn there." I let out a huff of air as I stand up and turn around to face the both of them, "Well be prepared for the shock of your life, Chris is one of my best friends, and I will be there to support him." Tiffany jumps off my bed and hugs me tightly, "That is my girl, now we just need to put you in something that doesn't scream I am innocent and I don't belong here." Anthony rolls his eyes as he gets off my bed,
"I wish you luck Quinn because you are going to need it, but I need to get going to get ready, and me and Emery will be back tonight to pick the two of you up." Tiffany and I say goodbye to Anthony as he leaves which leaves me alone with Tiffany, "Time for the makeover that I have been wanting to do since you were in high school." Tiffany grabs my arm and pulls me into my closet to give me her version of a makeover.
