Scenario; 17- everyone assumed we were going to end up together, but it's your engagement party and you overhear me talking about how I'm in love with you

note; I hope you like it! Kinda ended it on a slight cliffhanger, I guess? Sasha & Emma were the first names I came up with, feel free to change them.

"I want to thank everyone for coming out tonight to join us in celebrating our engagement." Carlos says standing next to his very beautiful fiancée holding a glass of champagne, another girl stood in the back with a gloom look on her face holding her glass of champagne, everybody around her was happy for the newly engaged couple, deep down, she was happy for the couple. "Please enjoy yourself tonight." Carlos says, it was painful to watch the person you have been in love with so long... become engaged and become happy with somebody that wasn't her, who was this girl? Lara (Y/l).

"You didn't have to come, you know?" One of Lara's friends, Anna, tells her, Lara releases a long sigh.

"I had too." Lara says. "He's my best friend, since childhood." she says.

"You're only hurting yourself." Anna says, Lara presses the rim of the glass to her lips and takes a sip.

"I'm going to go congratulate them, and then I might just get drunk." Lara says, Anna nods her head and watches Lara make her way through the crowd. "Carlos! Emma!" Lara says approaching the newly engaged couple.

"Lara, I'm so glad you could make it!" Carlos says and engulfs her in a hug, Lara gives them the widest fake smile.

"I just want to congratulate the two of you." Lara says and gives Emma a hug. "I wish for nothing but happiness in your future."

"Thank you, that is so kind of you." Emma says giving Lara a smile, there wasn't any real bad blood between Lara and Emma.

"Thank you, that means a lot." Carlos says, he just had no idea how much pain behind Lara's smile was.

"Congrats!" Lando says loudly walking towards them. "Hi, Lara."

"Hello, Lando." Lara says. "I should get back to Anna." Lara says and quickly flees back to her friend's side.

"How did it go?" Anna asks and takes a sip of her champagne.

"Just fine." Lara mumbles and takes a large gulp from her champagne.

"Wow, slow down, do you really want to get drunk? Now? tonight?" Anna asks, Blanca, Carlos' sister, walks towards Anna and Lara giving her a sympathetic smile.

"Lara, Hi." Blanca says.

"Evening, Blanca." Lara says, obviously in a sour mood.

"You know, we all thought you and my brother would end up together." Blanca says.

"Now you get Emma." Lara says, a waiter walks past them with champagne glasses. "I'll take another one." Lara says stopping the waiter to switch her empty glass for a full one.

"Not that there is anything wrong with Emma." Blanca says. "It's just she isn't you."

"She's nice, she makes him happy." Lara says looking at Carlos as he laughed with Emma, they looked so happy. "I'll get over it, he's happy, that's all that matters." Lara says looking down.

"You won't." Anna says. "You're too in love with him."

"So what? It doesn't matter, I'm going to the open bar." Lara says and steps away from Anna and Blanca.
