"Ahhh~! Finally arrived!" Maja was bouncing on her heels a little as she practically fell onto the hotel bed with a thud.
Soviet wanted to lay down as well, his throat had gotten a lot worse since the plane. But he knew he couldn't, he had to make sure everything with the other countries were planned out first.
Looking at the time it was already pretty late.
"I'm going to find the others in the lobby, you should wait here." Soviet smiled at Maja and she returned it and nodded."I'll wait for you here." She said as she started to unpack the luggage.
Soviet left her in the hotel room they shared and walked towards the lobby, already hearing some of the others.
Out of the blue his chest tightened and his throat started to burn. Soviet stopped in his tracks and quickly brought his sleeve to his face to muffle the coughs that had snuck up on him.
The coughing grated his throat and made him a little dizzy but it didn't last for too long.
The small fit had made his throat hurt even more but Soviet just hoped no one had heard it.
Soviet took a moment to clear his throat before continuing to walk. He felt really tired but knew he had to do this, it would probably not last for that long anyway since it's tomorrow that they were supposed to really have the meeting.
Soviet silently demanded his body that it needed to get rid of the sore throat by tomorrow.
He shrugged it off as he approached the rest of the group scowling as he saw America loudly making jokes to the others.
He just needed to get through this short planning and then he could see Maja. Easy, right?
Yeah not really. Soviet kept zoning out of the conversation even when he tried really hard to pay attention. He at least managed to get the recap of what was going to happen.
Group projects basically... great.
And he was paired with up with America... If Maja hadn't come with, Soviet is pretty sure he would have bailed.
Who's bright idea was this? Whatever, he didn't have the energy to argue.America did however.
"wHAT?! I have to be paired with HIM?!"
Soviet was internally hoping that for once America's whining would get him somewhere, but it didn't. They were to be partners for the next two days during the "fun bonding event".
It was nothing more then a glorified fetch quest if you asked Soviet but having to be paired with someone you despised wouldn't make it easy.Soviet gritted his teeth and tried to think positively. He was here with Maja, and when he was done being partnered with America he could finally spend time with her.
When they could all leave to their rooms, Soviet let out a small sigh of relief. His throat was really hurting and his head was starting to join in, all he wanted was to be close to his love and sleep right now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning when Soviet woke up, he wished he hadn't.
His head was throbbing in pain, it felt like his head was being crushed by an invisible force.
His throat was on fire and swallowing to attempt to ease the pain was a mistake, it made it worse, in fact as it felt like he was swallowing sandpaper.
His whole body aches and even moving his arm was hard and tiring.And why was it so damned cold in here?
Soviet tried to get out of bed without any issues but his body didn't stop betraying him.
His chest spasms and he clamps a hand over his mouth in hopes of not waking Maja up with the intense coughing fit that followed.
The coughs are painful and rip through him in quick succession.
When the fit subsided he looked over at Maja to see if she woke up. She luckily didn't.
Soviet felt awful.
But he had to push through. He wasn't going to ruin the trip for Maja and he was not going to look weak in front of the other countries.
Soviet forced himself to get completely out of bed and get dressed. At first he felt incredibly dizzy and the world span around him and he was forced to stand still for a minute, waiting for the dizziness to fade.
Getting dressed was a slow and uncomfortable process. He had to stop everything to muffle coughs more then once and his head span with every movement.
When he finally got all his clothes on he sat down on the floor, trying to get some energy back into his body. He didn't want Maja to see him right now and he was supposed to meet up with America soon anyway.
He might be able to make himself look less gross and ill if he took some meds or something, but he didn't have any. Not even any Vodka.
He moaned as he pushed himself off of the floor and got ready to head out. He already told Maja last night he had to leave early and that she might not see him before he leaves.
Good thing too, he knows he doesn't look good right now and he doesn't want her to worry about him and ruin everything she had planned.Soviet really hoped that America wouldn't care and not mention anything or call him out.
Knowing America, it's gonna suck regardless.
