"Thanks America. You really helped by going with me. You're a good friend"

America smiled and told her it was no problem.

"I'm happy to be your friend. Even if you're a communist." Maja gave him an unamused look, because what does that have to do with anything? He only laughed in response though.
"See you, and good luck." Was all he said as he turned around and left, seemingly to his own hotel room.

Maja didn't waste another second before she opened the door and got inside the hotel room.

And she practically dropped everything in her hands.

Soviet was thrashing around and was mumbling incoherently. He sounded like he was struggling and in pain.

Maja immediately rushed to his side. She gently shook him in an attempt to wake him up. He was burning up and it almost sounded like he was having trouble breathing.

Maybe she shouldn't have left! What if he was having a horrible nightmare that made his fever worse. Or what if she was in his nightmare doing something horrible that hurt his feeling or or oh my god!

"Soviet! Soviet wake up please!" She started shaking him a little harder, feeling panicked that he might not wake up.

In her panic, she hadn't thought about the fact she might have been shaking him too hard.
Because he woke up suddenly, and with a harsh and spluttering cough.

She gently rubbed his arm while she worriedly waited for the fit to be over.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry I should've never left you alone." Maja held back a sob, fearing the worst.

"M-Maja...? Sniffle Is... really you?" Soviet's eyes were glazed over and unfocused but they were looking at her. Or through her? It was hard to tell.
Maja intertwined her fingers with his and cupped his face with her free hand.

"It's me love, I'm here. I'm not leaving you again." Maja got her face closer to her lover and gave his nose and cheek a quick but passionate kiss. Not realizing how sensitive his face actually was at the moment.

Soviet seemed to summon his last remaining strength from another dimension to just barely push her out of the way.

"Hh'kshhh!! Nh'kshhh!! Hih'TCHhh!"

"Bless you." Maja bit her bottom lip, feeling more useless then normal. She really despised that she felt the need to talk herself down so often, even if she was trying her best.

It was just that Soviet did so much for her and he did it right, but when she tried to help him she messed up so easily...

'No! He always says to believe in myself like he does in me, he needs me right now and I can't feel sorry for myself over small missteps.'

Maja, now with slightly more confidence in her abilities quickly got to work.
She kissed his forehead instead and grabbed the pharmacy bag from where she had left it.

She started with taking out and unpacking the thermometer.

"Do you want to take any medicine?" Majas tone was hopeful but she can't say she was surprised when Soviet slowly shook his head.

"Okay, but it's here if you change your mind." The thermometer was a little complicated but when she finally got it to work it was easy.

All she had to do was turn it on and let the light drag over Soviets forehead. He didn't move or make it difficult either.

"39.8 degrees. Jeez Sovi... was it this bad earlier or worse?" Maja mumbled the last part mostly to herself and doubted he had heard her.

"I-cough-am... fine." Soviet barely had the strength to sit upright and he was really trying to push the "I'm fine"? Always so stubborn.

"No you're far from it kitten. But I will take care of you." Soviet seemed uncomfortable. And Maja worried he might not want her around right now.
"Even if you don't want me around..."

At this Soviet snapped his head up to look at her. His eyes were filled with hurt even in their glossy state.
"Wha? Ndo!" The extra strain on his voice triggered more painful coughs.

"Hey take it easy." Maja gently rubbed his back and tried her best to ease the coughing with the glass of water she had placed on the table earlier.
"Try and drink some water, please?"

"I do want you around,-cough cough-I just did dnot want to ruin your trip or-wheeze-worry you." Soviet looked away, not wanting to see her reaction but instead of his fears of her being angry come to fruition he instead felt a pair of arms pull him into a hug.

"Aww sweetie... You could never ruin anything. Just spending time with you is enough, you know that." Majas voice was a little shaky, like she was holding back tears.

"I want to kiss you so bad right now but I know you won't allow that while your still sick..." That was true. Soviet would never want to purposely put her health at risk.

"We can kiss when I am better..." Soviets voice was still very weak and hoarse but he didn't mind pushing through it to talk to Maja.

"I'll hold you to that. Now, it's time to channel my inner nurse." She gently pushed him down on the bed and covered his body with the blankets.

Soviet was having a hard time focusing as she went back and fourth, placing a cool cloth on his head and getting more water.

"I love you, commie." She takes his hand in hers and gives it a small kiss.

"I love you t-hih...hn'ksshhh!" The unexpected sneeze left Soviet feeling embarrassed but Maja simply giggled at how cute he managed to be.

"Bless you my love."
