New Beginning

EPISODE one PILOT

Series one

OPENING SCENE:

Overview of village church & vast grave yard, sweeping around the back of the cottages standing opposite the large iron gates and into a dark, deserted, spooky back alleyway where littered paper & cans are blown by the wind. Turn into the rear yard of number 13 Guardian Way. Heading through the designer kitchen, up the steel wood & glass staircase, entering the front first floor bedroom.

LUCAS SCOTT'S FRONT BEDROOM:

Eminem's (STAN released 2000 chosen & added when typing script which was originally hand written) continuously repeats its chorus as it plays out from the large high tech speakers in the front corner to side of the large picture window. (Outside it is raining): Scattered on the black carpeted floor of the masculine bedroom, designer white boxer shorts are stepped over by bare male feet: A chrome & glass dressing table displays a wide range of male grooming products, backdropped by a Hollywood style makeup mirror through which is reflected the perfectly made super-king size chrome bed. (Black & silver silk sheets)

PHOTOGRAPH: C.U: Wall mounted B&W photograph of one Harrison Philips when aged 26 years. Slim, tall with dark wavy hair: Dressed in nothing more than tight blue jeans, the athletic male stands in a field of tall grasses: Shrouded in sunlight Harrison appears happy yet coy as he holds a sexy pose, flirting with the unseen photographer.

PHOTOGRAPH B.G Across a wide main road almost hidden by the tall overgrowth & trees sits a square building enclosed by a high metal fence (It is the entrance to a locked & forgotten storage unit/underground shelter). (The Storage Shelter is a place to be explored later)

BACK IN BEDROOM:

C.U: Lucas Scott stands by window, arms folded his lean bare torso indicates he works-out (not too much). Neat slightly spiked fair hair, his eyes are blue: (SEXY: Lucas Scott is a gay male aged 25).

P.O.V Lucas glances from the photograph of Phillip Harrison out through the rain, across the road into the damp grey grave yard: (Tune continues to play).

SWEEP ACROSS BELLOW VILLAGE GRAVE YARD OVER HEADSTONES, PLANT LIFE, MEMORIAL GARDEN, BENCHES, STATUES & WOODEN CROSSES:

C.U: Black marble headstone engraved with gold leaf, reads. MR. HARRISON PHILIPS (Date A.R almost one year anniversary) Night fades into morning with rolling clouds. (Tune stops)

THEME TUNE: (Not yet chosen thinking something sinister & dark but catchy.)

PLAY OPENING CREDITS: - A long dark tree lined country lane at night, the lane leads into Bellow Village indicated by passing under a large metal arch bearing its name. Moving fast, upon passing beneath the sign the letter L becomes loose, swinging down & hanging upsidedown with a sinister squeak: meaning it reads Be low Village.

The village area is swamped by misshaped shadows.

Through trees to the lake, the dark silence is broken when a hand shoots out of the dark mist covered waters.

Through the dark shadowing trees back into the village roads and lanes. Road signs = Gateway Lane: Shadow Walk: Cavern Pass & Spellbound Cottage in the garden of which show a deep dark well, with shadows shimmering across and around the bare inner brick wall. Shoot up into the clouds then look down over Bellow village dominated by its vast hillside grave yard, many trees and a deep dark lake. Opening credits should hint to the presence of ghostly beings, aliens, witches, vampires, births, death, murder, suffering, misery & mystery.
