Pharaoh

Sports were popular among the Ancient Egyptians. They enjoyed sports such as fishing, wrestling, boxing, javelin throwing, field hockey and gymnastics to name a few. Personally, my preferred method of keeping fit is weight lifting-also loved by the ancient Egyptians.

There is a great satisfaction in the pull of your biceps after a long shift. The rush of testosterone rushing through you as you relieve any stress or tension you may have built up over the day. I wasn't by any means an expert on the subject, but my visits to the gym were frequent enough that I've come to know some regular's by name and one would assume I have made a hobby out of it.

"Hey, Pharaoh. Are you cutting it short today?" Carter asked me. I was executing hammer curls with 20 pounds, the final activity of my usual routine which Carter was familiar with.

"I'm meant to pick up Dustin from Ouro U," I explained. Dustin and Micky to be exact. It began as a one time favor, but now picking up Micky has become a thrice a week occurrence.

"Then you should push yourself a bit more," He said, handing me two 30 pound dumbbells to replace my 20s. I followed through.

"Very well," I said. It was difficult to lift 30 at the end of a routine when I was already tired, but I was up to the challenge. Though of course for Carter Hughston, it would have been with less effort. He trained himself with higher intensity which is why he and Lance often enjoy competing with each other. Lance has incredible strength and stamina from working at the ranch.

After completing my sets, I put down the weights and wiped my face with my towel. Looking at the clock hanging on the wall, I was able to confirm that there would be plenty of time for a shower and a real estate meeting before picking up Dustin and Micky from school. I had been seeing some properties for sale in my ideal area and a few homes have interested me. I am looking for a two storey house with 3 bedrooms in order to  provide Junior with his own room...as well as a larger lounging area for Micky and Linda since they have frequented these last few months. I don't mind at all, in fact it is a pleasure to have them around. Linda keeps Dustin and Junior busy and Micky, well...she's an interesting young woman, isn't she?

"See you later, Pharaoh." Carter waved once I scanned my membership card to sign out of the gym. I carried a duffle bag with me so with both hands occupied, I nodded to acknowledge his farewell.

Sitting in the drivers seat of my car, I tossed my bag into the back seat. I noticed a wrapper for a fast food burger on the floor that someone must have left behind. I enjoy a clean environment so I picked it up to dispose of later and remembered how it had gotten there.

"Are you sure you don't want some, Pharaoh?" Micky asked me from the right side of the back seat one afternoon. She unwrapped her burger from the share of spoils that we had picked up from the drive through after copious amounts of pleading from her, Linda and Dustin who were in the car as well.

"I'm quite alright," I said, focused on the road. I was meant to drop the girls off at their homes before Dustin and I headed to work.

"The Pharaoh only eats junk food on rare occasions," Dustin said, digging in.

"And Linda only eats junk food on common occasions," Micky commented, meant to tease Linda for her size. She retaliated by throwing her wrapper over to Micky and through the mirror, I spotted Micky pretending as though it had an effect on her fantasized unconsciousness.

"Please don't throw trash, Linda." I politely stated as the cleanliness of my vehicle was a priority to me. I continued to watch the girls occasionally through the mirror to supervise while Dustin and Linda went on to tell us about their day. Micky was silent for the remainder of the ride, but she would periodically put on dramatic facial expressions according to the subject of their stories which I found interesting. Without a word from her or much effort from me, I was able to understand her opinions on the matters instantly. She did not put any care into making those secret.
