I walked over to the table with Nadia and Portia.
"Hey guys! Mind if I sit here with y'all?" My south Vesuvian accent stuck out like a sore thumb. They chuckled and I blushed.
"Of course you can!" Portia said, you could tell her excitement was bubbling over. I giddily laughed.
"Portia, calm down, you'll scare her away." Nadia said trying not to laugh. Portia's response was squealing and patting the seat next to her to say that I should sit there. I plopped down and joined the conversation.
We gossiped and they filled me in on everyone in the school. We talked about anything and everything and just like that lunch was over.
