Some stuff I planned to explain though the story but I feel people would be confused so, I'll write some.
Don't read if you don't want the spoilers or want to see it through the story.

This takes place as an alternate ending of Reunited.

In this version. Steven couldn't get through to the two diamonds and after a long fight the two diamonds on earth decided to finish them off with a blast.

They called soon White Diamond to serve a strong blow to earth. Just like Rose did, Steven felt he had to protect his friends with the shield.

Not long before the blast, Lapis panicked and wanted to leave again. Taking Peridot with her. The two of them had and argument and Bismuth interfered. Calling Lapis a coward for leaving now, when they needed her.

Peridot ran off crying towards where the Barn used to be, Bismuth followed after her trying to bring her back.

The two of them were exposed to the diamonds power and turned corrupted.

This was also quickly put together so sorry about the vagueness.
