Chapter- 30

Shreya's POV-

Our internship was officially over and Vaibhav sir was no longer our boss and Anika's and His wedding functions were starting today and Kabir and his family would be there because they are family friends and I saw Kabir in my office many times during my tenure of internship. 

" Shreya, go to Anika's home. She will need your help to get ready for the engagement." I heard Khyati bhabhi shout for me.

" Okay bhabhi. I'm going." I said, getting up from my love, my bed.

" I'll see you soon my bed." I muttered as I took the car keys and left along with my dress.

It took me 2 hours to reach her house because of the damn traffic.

And during that period, I got over 200 calls from her to be there soon and how irresponsible best friend I was. I just rolled my eyes. When she is nervous, she goes around freaking out on everybody.

" Her highness finally decided to grace us with her presence." Adya mocked me as I entered Anika's room. The boys were at the venue to care care of the preparations.

" God dammit guys! I was struck in traffic jam. Was not chilling at home." I told them for the millionth time.

They rolled their eyes and ignored me. Whatever!

" Now Anika, I've picked your dress up. Try it if now it perfectly fits. If yes, then great but if it does not, I'll have to take it back to the store." I instructed. She nodded and changed. Thankfully, the dress's fitting was perfect.

" Vaibhav sir will be a goner today." Adya said.

" Ooh la la babe." I replied.

" Really?" Anika asked.

" Totally girl!" Adya and I said together.

She then went to change back and I arranged her shoes while Adya oversaw the jewellery.

" Shreya, I want you to go to Vaibhav and ask him that is he really sure about this wedding." Anika said, freaking out.

" Anika, please calm the hell down. Of course he is ready. It's just you being you." I replied.

She freakin smacked my head.

" Shreya please! I would have sent Adya but she is too afraid to talk to him about this." Anika said, glaring at Adya.

" What! He freaks me out. He was our boss!" Adya defended herself.

I rolled my eyes, tried to pacify Anika but nothing worked.

" Fine. I'm going!" I screamed as Adya and Anika were taunting me for not being a 'good' friend.

" Can't we just call him?" I asked her.

" Nope. He is in a business party right now." Anika informed.

" Who keeps a business party in the afternoon?" I questioned.

" Someone. So he won't talk properly. That's why I want you to go." Anika whined like a fucking baby!

" Address please." I said, sighing.

" OMG! You are my best friend!" She shouted, taking me into a hug.

" I think that I was an irresponsible friend?" I taunted her.

" Shut up and go. I'm texting you the address." I said, pushing me out of the room.

I was there within half an hour.

" Things I have to do for my idiots." I sighed, getting out of my car.

Now the situation was comical. It was a black tie event. Everyone was in gowns and tuxedos and I was in my crop top and baggy pants with sneakers.
