Chapter- 22

Shreya's POV-

" So pandit ji, which day is fit for the engagement?" Khyati Bhabhi asked.

Panditji did some mind calculations which forced me to roll my eyes.....maths here too!!!

" There is a very auspicious occasion after two weeks." He said.

" That's great panditji. Two weeks is sufficient time to get the preparations done." Mumma said.

Everyone cheered and I sneezed. 5 freaking times.

" I'll just be back." I said, going upstairs to have the allergy medicine.

" Shreya, they are leaving. Come and say bye." Riya Bhabhi said, entering my room.

" Bhabhi, am I doing the right thing?" I asked her.

" Shreya, let's go and say goodbye to them, then I'm taking you out for coffee. We will talk there." She said.

I nodded and we went down.

I touched Kabir's mom's and dad's feet and hugged Roshni di.

Then I saw Kabir looking at me.

" Chachu, when are we going to take chachi home?" Aditya asked.

" Soon beta." Kabir said, without breaking the eyelock but the intensity with which he said the words made me all red and I looked away.

The Rathore's went away.

" Maa, I'm taking Shreya out with me for sometime. You go and change Shreya. I know how uncomfortable you are." Riya Bhabhi said.

I simply nodded and went to my room to get into comfortable clothes.

" Let's go." I said, getting down after dressing up.

Bhabhi drove us to a cafe and ordered all my favourites.

" Now ask me whatever you want." She said.

" Am I doing the right thing?" I asked her.

" Hmm.....what do you think? Are you?" She turned the table.

" Bhabhi....I am asking you because I don't know." I exclaimed.

" Shreya, the best judge of the inner turmoil going inside you in your heart. If your heart says that what you are doing is absolutely okay, then there is no issue but if your heart is not convinced by your decision, then think about what you are doing, evaluate and talk to Kabir if you want." Bhabhi said.

" How can you tell if you love a person or not?" I asked her again.

" Have you heard the saying, if you love someone then set them free. If they come back then they are yours?" Bhabhi questioned again.

I nodded.

" Then understand that this is bullshit. If you love someone, you pursue them. If they love you back, then it is destiny. Trust me on this, Kabir is trying to pursue you. He loves you and it does not take a genius to figure it out. The way he looks at you, the way he talks about you and the way he treats you is his love. People who find true love are very lucky. He has found it now it's time you look into yourself and discover if you really like Kabir. Like is fine for now because no one expects you to completely understand love at this moment, not even Kabir because you are a little immature and young to actually feel it." Bhabhi said.

" I'm not immature!!" I exclaimed.

" See, this is what exactly I was talking about. Of all the things I told you, you chose to acknowledge the part that you are not immature. You know a mature person would have asked me the tricks to actually find out what the hearts want when you fall in love." Bhabhi taunted.
