Chapter Two

*Luke's POV*
The bell rang signaling that third hour was done and it was time for lunch. I got up going to my locker putting my books away going to Calum's locker to meet up with Michael and Calum.
"Hey guys ready for lunch?" I ask as I approach them.
"Yup," Michael said. Michael grabbed Calum's hand as we walked to the lunchroom.
We got our lunch and say down at our table with our other friends Lilly, Brad, and Andrew. We all sat together without anyone else with us. We all became friends in Freshmen year and we were all pretty close. I will always be closer with Michael and Calum though.
Lilly is considered the schools 'bad girl', but she is really sweet. Lilly has jet black hair, pale skin, and bright, electric blue eyes. She mainly wears black skinny jeans, leather jackets, and combat boots. She also smokes, has an eyebrow piercing, and has tattoos. At first my mom didn't like her, but after she for to know her, she liked her.
Brad is the opposite of her. Brad is very polite and has never been rude to anybody. He has blonde hair, sun kissed skin, and forest green eyes. He is the guy that wears varsity jackets, skinny jeans, and Converses.
Andrew is known as the schools player and jokester. He sleeps with anything that has two legs. Even though he's a player he also has a very big heart. Andrew has brown hair, pale, and has pretty hazel eyes.
"How's it going guys?" Michael asked everyone as we sat down. Everyone mainly said fine besides Brad.
"What's wrong Brad?" I asked, concerned for my friend.
"Stacy and I broke up," he said. To say all of us were shocked was an understatement.
Stacy and Brad were the schools cutest couple apart from Michael and Calum. Stacy and Brad had been dating ever since the beginning of Freshmen year and now we are in Senior year. Stacy and Brad were inseparable, practically joined by the hip. They even got voted schools cutest couple Junior year.
"Why?" Andrew asked.
"She didn't fell the spark anymore. She described that it was slowly dying out and then the flame just blew out completely," Brad said with a frown on his face.
"It's okay Brad," Andrew smiled," You have us."
"I know."
We were all silent drowned in our thoughts when Andrew cracked a joke, our laughter breaking the silence. Lunch went back to normal with jokes and laughter. I zoned out for some of the conversation when I noticed him.
Ashton Irwin.
Ashton was sitting in the back of the lunchroom with earbuds in smiling at his phone. He was all by himself but he seemed okay in his own little world.
"Hey guys," I said breaking the conversation.
"What?" Calum asked.
"Should I go over and invite Ashton over? He seems lonely." I suggested.
"I think you should. I think we can adopt him into our little circle of friends," Andrew smiled. Everyone else nodding in agreement.
I stood up from our table and walked over to Ashton's. I sat down right in front of him. He looked up once he saw that I sat down.
"Hi. I'm Luke Hemmings," I said offering him a smile. He rose an eyebrow as if not believing that someone is sitting with him.
"What are you watching?" I asked trying to start up a conversation.
"None of your business," he snapped. I was taken aback. I also noticed that he had an Australian accent.
"I'm sorry. Did I say something wrong?" I asked.
All he did was scoff, roll his eyes and walk away.
