Light flickered down into the house, feeling it with light. I stirred awake, blinking open my eyes.
I rolled over to see if the others were awake. They were not.
I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked over through the window. It was still fairly dark. I stepped out of bed and went down stairs to find Pearl and Garnet sitting down talking at the couch.
"Morning guys." I yawned. Garnet waved a little. "Morning, (Y/N). How was your sleep? Bismuth told me you were out late last night."
I froze for a moment. "I-I slept well. I guess." I walked over and sat down.
"Where is Bismuth, and Amethyst?" I asked, noticing their absence. Pearl answered. "Amethyst went with Bismuth to the forge."
I frowned. "Dang, I wanted to go." I complained. "I'll come back later, i'ma head home. See ya!"
I waved as I walked out onto the beach again. The memories of the night before stil, fresh in my mind.
The night was an intresting one, she had never expected Bismuth to be that motovating. She could have never guessed that.
I closed my eyes and smiled, getting closer to the water so i could stand in it with bare feet. Ever since I ws young I had always been attracted to water, it made me feel free.
"Waaaaaaaaiittttttt!"
My eyelids flew open and I turned to see Steven running towards me, seemingly out of breath now.
"Come back inside. I'm cooking!" Steven panted. I gave a nod and followed him back. "Welcome back." Pearl smiled. I flashed a smile and made my way over to the counter to sit beside Connie.
Connie gave her a long, worried look. "I saw you leave late last night, you looked pretty sad. But you came back happy, what happened?" She asked. She did? "Well, I kinda just needed to clear my mind, so I went outside. Bismuth talked with me for a little bit and kept me company." I explained, feeling a light feeling of appreciation that swirled into my smile.
"Glad you're okay then." Connie patted me on the back.
Steven was cooking some waffles in the toaster and was now serving them up with ice cream, strawberries and syrup. The waffles being hot made the icecream melt and completed the dish beautifully. "That. Was Amazing!" I and Connie cried happily.
Steven rubbed the back of his neck and smiled, starting to eat his. There was a flash of light as the warp pad activated and Amethyst ran around the corner. "I smell food!" She practically dove at Steven to get some of his food.
"Amethyst! Settle down!" Pearl scoled half heartedly.
Bismuth came around the corner and sniffed. "Something smells nice." She commented. The rainbow haired gem sat down by Pearl and Garnet. My eyes drifted towards her, following her to the others. I pryed my eyes away and back to my plate. The stare was so intense it seemed to earn a questioning stare from Connie and Steven. I held my breath, hoping they wouldn't say anything. When I had finished I jumped down and looked back over at Bismuth.
She gestured for me to come over so I did. "Pearl and I were talking, you could train with Connie and work with me for a little while if you like. Pearl works well with a few types of weapons, she could teach you how to use a particular one."
I gave and excited nod. "That would be great!"
"She would certainly disappointed when (Y/N) had heard you left already for the forge." Garnet told Bismuth with a teasing smile at Me. I shrunk back alittle bit. "I just haven't seen it before, it could be cool. Y'know."
Bismuth laughed in amusement. "I can take you there now if you like. I have to do something there anyway."
"(Y/N)! Are you going to see the forge? Connie, you should come if I can too!" Steven exclaimed, jumping from the chair to stand in front of Bismuth. "Of course." Bismuth replied.
With that the three of them set off, Steven and Bismuth seemed to be talking ahead. They both hd serious expression. Both me and Connie hung back alittle bit, listening quietly. Bismuth's former smile had faltered. "I am sorry about the Breaking Point Steven. I really thought all of our problems would just disappear if we could shatter a diamond." Bismuth. "I guess she ended up taking my advice.." her voice trailed.
Steven went silent for a moment. "I know I should have told you this before. It's great to have you back, it's great to have you back on the team." Bismuth's smile picked up again. "I'm glad to be back." She ruffled Steven's hair.
Both I and Connie smiled to eachother and picked up our paces to walk beside them. "Where about is the forge?" I asked. "We're almost here." Bismuth replied.
My mind started to wander. What was it going to be like? I wonder what we'll make first.
Then Bismuth stopped in her tracks infront of a stone wall that led into a volcano. Her gem glowed and the wall fell into place like how her gem was placed. "Wow!" I exclaimed, I had never seen a door open like that. It was very cool to watch.
They all walked in. I went starry eyed as I saw the forge, it had weapons of all sorts covering the place. "This is awesome!"
"It is." Bismuth replied,
Bismuth then stepped down, one of the floor tiles going down aswell. "Heads up." Then just above her lava came over top of her. I felt horror sease through my body. Connie looked just as shocked but Steven only smiled. But then Bismuth appeared again, coming through the lava. There were no burn marks or anything on her. Were all gems lava proof? Is she reeally okay?
"Ahh, that's just what I needed." Bismuth laughed, her eyes shooting over towards Me and Connie's shocked faces. "What's up?" She asked. "Nothing." I replied quickly, for Connie and Myself. "It's really nothing, just surprised."
Bismuth walked across the forge, towards three large barrels. "(Y/N). What type of weapon do you think you would be comfortable with?" She asked, looking across the room at me. "I'm not sure.." I replied. "I've never really handled weapons." Bismuth gave a slow nod, her gaze drifting thoughtfully across the room. She gestured to the pile of weapons Steven was looking at. "Come have a look at these." She told me.
I crossed the room, looking at the piles of weapons. There was a wide selection indeed, a few swords of all diffrent types, a whip, a baton, throwing knives and an axe. I still had no idea. "Can I try handling them?" I ask. Bismuth gave a nod. I picked up the axe, well I tried to it much much to heavy to me. It seemed pretty easy to handle if it was lighter but maybe not the weapon for her. Next she picked up two of the throwing knives, she ran her hand along the blunt part the the blade, trying to work out the materiel used, it was light and found it was easy to handle, maybe.
Newtpaw I picked up the baton, it was alittle heavy but could definitely be handles if I were to learn how to use it. Then she picked up the whip. It was comfortable in my hand and seeing Amethyst use hers gave her a few ideas on how it would work, she placed it down and picked up one of the swords it had a very long but thin blade it did seem sturdy and strong despite its thin looks. It wasn't that heavy either. A sword huh? I guess I could train with Connie if I used a sword.
"I like this sword." I commented, looking up at Bismuth. She gave a nod of approval. "I see where you're coming from, it is a vrey light and easily handled sword much like Rose's but more thinner. Unfortunately this sword doesn't preform the best in battle. More of a training sword." Bismuth ran her finger down the blade gently. "I could make you one like this, maybe alittle more powerful though."
"That would be grewt!" I explaimed, hugging Bismuth. I had wanted this for so long, for someone to put more faith and trust in me, to help me and help me grow to be stronger. I wanted to be stronger, I wanted to be like my friends but it was so hard to match up to them.
I snapped out of my thought and looked back up at Bismuth with a thankful smile, she returned it with a kind smile. "Thank you Bismuth." I said quietly.
"You're welcome." She replied, her eyes locking with mine.
