It feels like the war has been going on for an eternity., I wish it would stop. Everythings so loud you can hear it in Heaven. People never stop praying, the ones who are left anyway, for whatever apocalypse that has descended upon them to end. Our war should never have engulfed the Earth. It needed to stay restricted. I can't even remember who's on what side.. We've lost so many Angels to the other side. Spies.
They speak of starting to recruit us, female angels, it only seems fitting with how many weak-minded men have gone into battle. don't want to contribute to this mess but it seems I don't have a choice in the matter. I can only hope my end comes swiftly before I have to hurt too many people..
Till tomorrow, SeraphineShe had to stop writing, people's desperate prayers were filling her head, merging into a painful headache. Bang bang bang her head just throbbed. It hurt. So she closed her journal, disregarding it on her desk
"When will this be over?"
"Just protect my kids."
"Let me live, I beg of you, just forgive my wrongdoings."
Endless pleas of dying people who know they don't have a chance of living. God, she needed a distraction. So she stood, abandoning her room for the halls of heaven.
Okay, this was getting annoying. Even for a demon. The war had been going on for a long time. Much longer than anyone had expected it to. Now it's even crept its way into Earth. All the stupid humans get in the way. Believe her when she says she's had her fair share of human torture. She's been doing it for hundreds of years. After a while, it tends to get boring and repetitive. She heard about Heaven suddenly putting in the female angels, getting them involved because their male angels were dying off. She didn't realize heaven was sexist. Bastards. In hell, everyone is equal, even if that means dying.
Angels are little pricks. All Hell does is try to keep bad people- murderers, child predators, etc from getting rewarded. But then they have heaven going, "no! All humans are good on the inside!" That's bullshit. Nothing you say could convince her that people are inherently good with all the evils they've committed. She's just doing her job. Nowadays, her job includes fighting angels.
She wandered over to where she knew her best friend's place was in Heaven, she knocked on her door thrice. Finding out she was selected to head down to Earth, especially as one of the first females, was horrifying and she was terrified. She waited patiently for her friend to open her door. Counting how many hours she had left before they forced her out of the gates with a weapon in her hand.
Evangeline opened the door, the shock evident on her face, "hey! What's going on?"
"I- I got notified today, I'm getting sent down to Earth in only a few hours," she could feel her baby blue eyes starting to water, she didn't want to go. Not now, not ever. It was madly dangerous and nearly half the angel population was dead or locked in hell.
"Oh no," Evangeline hugged her quickly. She'd heard about female angels getting called. She didn't think it would happen to her friend.
She hugged Evangeline back, feeling tears stain trails down her cheeks. Even if her intent was to go win a war for Heaven, and to hurt Demons it still didn't sit right. They're supposed to protect the inhabitants of Earth and work with hell to be turning souls, that were wrongfully placed, over to heaven so they can find peace.
"I just hope this gets over with quickly, however, those words may apply."
"Me too. I'm sure it will be over soon," she mumbled, clearly not seeing the other way her words could be taken.
"Ev, if- if I die down there, you can have whatever you want of mine- and please make sure my body gets taken care of and I'm not forgotten...."
"Hush- it's not going to come to that. It's not. You're going to live," she gently pat her back, trying to comfort her.
"You don't know that for sure. Anything could happen- anything at all," she started to cry. Feeling hot, fat tears run down her face. Killing her confidence that her friend was trying to give her.
"God won't let more lives be spent than necessary," Evangeline explained.
"I don't think he cares anymore, he stopped caring as soon as he sent the male kids before us." That was a horrible thing God did. It made her faith falter for a second. Those kids stood no chance, they were just a distraction, a buffer, something to throw Hell off. She doubts it served its purpose.
"Shhh. Don't say things like that," she desperately tried to cover up the fact that everything she was saying was correct. God doesn't care. He just wants his way.
She was now such a mess that she couldn't even speak anymore. What was to come of her if she were killed? No one knows where angels and demons go. She's never had any training, she won't last long.
