"People's lives are literally at stake and you're insulting me?"

---

Claire stopped the van outside of the innovation centre and they rushed out to meet Owen. Elle quickly hugged him.

"I thought you were gonna die," she whispered.

"Please, I'm gonna live forever," he joked, trying to lighten the mood despite his blood racing and his heartbeat reaching his ears.

"Come on, come on," Claire spoke, ushering them all inside. "Go inside."

"Control room that way," Claire yelled out as the three children were ahead of her. They ran in the direction she pointed only to come to a stop outside the lab.

"They evacuated the lab," Claire muttered.

The group began looking in the lab at the different creatures. Elle frowned at the sight. She felt off. She spun around as she heard a noise behind her. She watched as they began to remove items from the lab.

"What are you doing?" Claire asked.

"I'm afraid that's above your pay grade, honey," Hoskins replied.

"Not mine since I own the park, so answer her questions, dickface," Elle spat. "And don't call her honey like she is lesser than you."

"Where's Henry?" Claire demanded.

"Dr Wu, he works for us," Hoskins revealed.

"That's not a real dinosaur," Gray voiced, pointing to a screen showing another

"No, it ain't, kid," he responded.

"Haven't you learnt anything from today?" Elle questioned, glaring at Hoskins with all her might.

"Somebody's gotta make sure that this company has a future. Imagine, that one, a fraction of the size, deadly, intelligent, able to hide from the most advanced military technology. A living weapon, unlike anything we've ever seen. You see millions of years of evolution, what did we learn? Nature is the gift that just-" Hoskins was cut off as Delta jumped into the room. "Shit!"

Delta was staring him down and Elle knew exactly what that meant. Hoskins was her next meal.

"Easy. Easy, boy. Easy. Hey, hey. We're on the same side, right? Right? Easy. I'm on your side," he rambled, holding his arm out to keep the dinosaur away from him.

"She's a girl, asshole," Elle told as Delta bit down on Hoskins' arm.

The group began running as Delta became distracted with her meal. She was ushered in one direction before sliding to a halt as Delta smashed through the glass and began slid in front of them. As she struggled to stand the group ran in the opposite direction. They sprinted out of the visitor centre, Gray pressing a button on one of the activities as he goes. It brought up a hologram of a Dilophosaurus, stopping Delta in her tracks as she sized up against it.
