Chapter 1

               ************                                            Your grandfather, Sham Norash Anihar, during his time as one of the warriors of Ilabuhab, was very known in the kingdom as the bravest warrior who did wonderous things to save the kingdom of Ilabuhab and its people. He was very close to the powerful royal family who reigned at then.
              Everyone in the kingdom admired his bravery but the princess, Ardlinar, adored him most. After a few occasions when he was ordered to guard the princess, their relationship turned into love. Soon the whole kingdom got to know about it. It wasn't long and their marriage was accepted and arranged.
                There was a colleague warrior of his, Inagar, who was very envious of your grandfather. First, he stole the queen's precious jewelry and hid it in Sham's belongings. Everyone in the palace things were ransacked and the jewelry was found in Sham's belongings.Everyone was very shocked but to Inagar's disappointment, the trust the people and the royal family had in him saved him and he was pardoned.
              Inagar never gave up. He hatched another plot and this time disguising himself, he tried to kill the king in his chamber. He was nearly caught by the guards but escaped leaving behind your grandfather's dagger.
                 The dagger served as an important proof which was used against him. He was accused of attempted murder on the king. This time their trust in him couldn't save him and so, he was banished from Ilabuhab Kingdom. Painfully, your grandfather left and found himself here in Ardnihema Kingdom, an enemy of Ilabuhab.
             That was when he met your grandmother and they got married some years later. They had your dad, who also had you, our precious one. My dear, you are the spitting image of your grandfather. He was a very great warrior and that bravery, I believe also runs in your veins, Anushka Norash Anihar."
Mum Suree had finally ended the history of Anushka's grandfather when they suddenly heard a loud sound from the door being pushed down forcefully with some men entering.

           Anushka got frightened and embraced her mother, still panicking.
"Mum, who are those in our house? Wha... what do they want from us?" She fumbled still holding on tightly.

"My dear, please don't panic and be brave. I know what is actually happening. The bomb has already gone off."
"What.. what are you talking about? Which bomb?"

"Relax, relax Anushka. I don't mean that a bomb has exploded, I mean that the trouble out there has began. I heard that our warriors went to attack and killed the mother_ in_law of the king of Ilabuhab" she paused.

With a deep breath she added "they have sent their warriors to take revenge on us. Oh my dear, I don't know if I'll be able to survive in this but please promise me, promise me that you'll fight and survive, promise me Anushka, please promise me." She cried.

"I promise you Mum, I'll survive this and I want you to do same" Anushka had tears welled up in her eyes.
"Now go, go my dear. Run away from here Anushka. I'll stay back and take care of this. Trust me, I can handle this, now go , go Anushka!" Her mother wailed but she still held unto her hand refusing to let go.

Just then, the guards broke into the room and shot the first arrow into Suree's arm.
Then the second one which left her lifeless on the floor went through her heart.

Anushka jumped out through the window with the pain of seeing her dear mother breathe her last.
She felt lost, lonely and raged with anger as she run out of their home.

Anushka managed to escape from the house but didn't reach very far when four guards captured her.

          There were about sixty of them captured and dragged out of their kingdom, Ardnihema and taken into the land of Ilabuhab as slaves.
      
         All the guards sat proudly on their horses dragging the slaves in captivity with chains as they entered the town.
