Chapter Four *Red*

It has been three days since Stripe has been missing. There was no luck in finding her. I never gave up though. I was determined and would not back down.

I picked up a faint scent of Stripe and also a couple of other cats. There was no sign of blood on the scent and surroundings so she should be okay.

I followed the scent to the end and I'm surprised. I had followed the scent to a camp!

There where cherry blossom trees surrounding the camp and a clearing was in the middle of it.

Stripe is in here? I need to help her!

I was creeping around and I bumped into something.

I looked up to see a large muscular pale ginger tom.

"What do you think you are doing on Fireclan territory?" He didn't sound threatening but casually.

"I-I was looking for my sister." I answered.

"Well my name is Swiftclaw and what is your name?" Swiftclaw introduced himself.

"R-Red." I answered.

"Well alright Red, lets go find your sister. What is her name?" Swiftclaw asked.

"Stripe." I gazed at him.

"Well follow me, Red." Swiftclaw instructed.

He lead the way towards a hallway of willow trees and entered a den.

I stopped before the den, wondering if it was safe or not.

"Come on. There is nothing to be afraid of." Swiftclaw encouraged.

I sighed and walked in along with him. A grey tom sat in a nest full of moss.

"Hello. You are?" The grey tom asked.

"R-Red." I stuttered.

"We'll nice to meet you Red. I am Stormstar, leader of Fireclan." He introduced himself.

"I found her trying to sneak into our camp." Swiftclaw reported.

"Ah. Why were you trying to sneak in?" Stormstar asked.

"I-I... I'm looking for my sister. She ran away when..." My voice trailed off.

"Well do you have a home?" He asked.

"Well I used to before Scratch... I just don't want to talk about it." I shook my head.

"Would you like to join Fireclan?" Stormstar asked.

"Yes!" I said eagerly.

"Great! Follow me," Stormstar ordered.

He lead the way to a tall rock which shined under the sunlight.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Star-Rock for a clan meeting!" The clan leader yowled.

Cats out if all dens gathered in the clearing. I could hear some muttering and whispering.

"Today, we have found a new recruit for Fireclan. Her name is Red!" Stormstar introduced me to the clan.

"By the powers of Starclan I, Stormstar leader of Fireclan, give Red her apprentice name," He looked at me.

"Red you shackled be known as Redpaw," He looked around the clearing and found a particular cat.

"Icewind, you shall be Redpaw's mentor." Stormstar announced.

I got up and touched noses with her. The clan was silent. All of a sudden three cats started to cheer my name.

"Redpaw! Redpaw! Redpaw!" The clan cheered.

"This meeting is at an end," Stormstar said before jumping off if Star-Rock.

A golden tabby she-cat bounced up towards me.

"Hi! I'm Tigerpaw!" She introduced herself.

"This is Bluepaw, Kinkpaw, Leafpaw, Shinepaw, and Goldenpaw! Wolfpaw is out training with Oneclaw," Tigerpaw said cheerfully.

I looked at them happily and walked towards Icewind.

"So what are we going to be doing today?" I asked.

"Well it's sundown so if we train it would be moonhigh once we got back but we will definitely train in the morning," Icewind said as she looked up at the sky.

She right. It's past Sundown so we should stay if we don't want to get in an accident. I nodded.

As I walked backwards, I bumped into a cat. I whirled around and looked at a brown tabby.

"Watch where you're going before someday you might get hurt." The tom muttered as walked past me.

Well that's enough trouble in one day. I heard pawsteps coming from the entrance and I couldn't believe my eyes.

Stripe stood there, with her mouth open in surprise, staring at me.
