When the new girl in town is perfect in every way possible, no one expects her mind to be completely empty and void of any emotion.

17-year-old Eris just moved to Oxnard, California and enrolled in Oxnard High School two weeks into the school year, where she meets her two new best friends: Alex and Kat. Eris's charming yet manipulative ways lead to a sparked romance between her best friends, creating a secret rivalry between the two. It's as if her mind is vacant, yet she's stunning, intelligent, rich, and has a loving family everybody longs for, so why would anyone suspect differently?

What happens when a sociopath manipulates her way into a love triangle when she is incapable of love? And how long will it take before Alex and Kat figure out what Eris has done to them?

Maybe it truly is impossible to tell who someone really is.

Sociopath: a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience. Approximately 1 out of every 25 individuals have sociopathic tendencies or are sociopaths. Sociopaths and psychopaths are easily confused; this is not a book about someone who is insane and psychotic. Eris, the main character, is simply someone who has no emotions and therefore feels no guilt, she is not supposed to be an antisocial character. While there are lots of sociopaths that live their lives in isolation, there are also some that live their lives blending in with society and conforming: they are able to live a normal life.

This is my first time writing a book, so I am very open to critics; it should be noted that this is just a hobby right now though (although I would like it to be more).

I will try to post at least once or twice a week, but some weeks in college are busier than others. I will promise to do my best, but please don't be angry with me if I miss a scheduled chapter date.

Please keep an open mind that not every scientific aspect of the sociopath/sociopathic tendencies present in this story may not be 100% psychologically accurate - this story is fictional.

This story has a slow start but by chapter 5 it will pick up some more.

Enjoy!
