If All Else Fails...(Music AU)(Up For Adoption)

Prologue

This chapter doesnt have a ton of action! Please trust me that there WILL be more in the next chapter! Like.... a lot more. If you could just stick with me and get through his prologue i would be SO grateful!

Snapshots of that night replay in my head. I close my eyes hoping it will shoo away the thoughts, but it only seems to aggrievate them. Another night of no sleep. I dont know why these flashbacks are occuring, but its annoying I cant help but feel something bad is going to happen, but what?

Finally I feel sleep creeping up on me. I close my eyes and let the darkness in.

I wake up. My cheeks are wet. That dream always gets to me. I check the alarm clock next to me. 6:48. I need to start getting ready for school. Dont wanna be late.

                       ~At School~
I walk in to class about 13 minutes early, but thats nothing new. To quote Iida, "UA students should always be 10 minutes early to any event". I pull my guitar case off my shoulder and place it under my desk. I dont have to have my own guitar. The school provides all the instuments needed, but in my head, this guitar is a big fraction to my talent. It may sound stupid, but if it helps me why be ashamed?

About 10 minutes before school starts, the whole class has shown up, and have started their own conversations with friends. Iida and Uraraka have come up to me talking about what we might be doing today.

Once Aizawa walks in the class goes silent.

"Alright class...today we will be doing solos of the instrument of your own choosing...I will be choosing the order you go in with sticks...everbody choose your instruments and regroup...you may go."

I didnt have to move out of my seat because my first choice in instruments will always be my guitar.

Once everybody had chosen their instruments and made their way back to their seats, Aizawa grabbed the cup of sticks and chose. To my luck I was first....yayyyyyy.

I got up with my guitar case, made my way to the front of the room, and pulled out my guitar. Once i was settled I began my song. It was an original because I have more fun with them.

By the end of the song, half of the class was in tears. I have the tendency to do that. The thing is, its not the music alone that brings tears upon ones eyes, its the emotion behind it. (Hes not the over-joyed Izuku from the Anime btw.)

"V-very good Midoriya...I see youve written another original?"

"Yes Aizawa-Sensai"

It was obvious Aizawa was moved by the song in his own way. Once I made it back to my seat the next person was called up. (Im too lazy to find music for everyone. Deal with it.)

            ~After Everyone has gone~

"Alright class, you may go on break. When you get back I expect you to have a new instrument, preferrably one you have not yet mastered."

This was the problem for me, all the instruments Ive played I was able to master within weeks. Im somewhat of a prodigy. I decided to go for the violen. I didnt really have any reason behind it, I just like how it sounds.

This portion of music class had always been my favorite. Its music battles. Aizawa will pick one group of three everyday to battle against each other, then remove their names from the drawing box so everybody has an opportunity to battle. It was monday, so anyone could be chosen.

"Alright, ive already chosen the names...todays battle will be...
Bakugo
Todoroki
And...
Midoriya

(Since these peeps are the most competitive I thought...why not)

"We will start with Todoroki..."

Todoroki made his way up to the front with his flute. We all know this is Todorokis weakest instrument. Hes the best at piano.

"May I use a back track sensei?"

"Sure"

Todoroki made his way to the computer to choose his back track. Once he found one to his liking he started playing.

When using a back track, the flute itself sounds simple, but it was still better then any of his previous preformances.

(I forgot to mention the winner is chosen by the class)

Next was Kacchan. He decided to play guitar, which in my opinion wasnt his best choice after I had brought most of the class to tears earlier this morning.

His preformance was filled with confidence, but the simplicity of the song might have killed him.

I was up next. I didnt think it would be fair to do another original. Kacchan and Todoroki wouldnt have a chance if I did, but since Im not doing an original I have to do a complicated cover.

I didnt want to use a back track, but I was glad I did. It really ties the song together. Makes it sound more complete. By the end of my performance the class was silent. I started to get nervous. Did I do something wrong? Was it horrible? I was shaken out of my thoughts by the classes clapping. I felt relieved.

After everybody got their chance to vote, Todoroki, Kaccaan, and I all went to the front of the room. The winner ussually got some sort of gig to help put ourselves out there more. The last time I won I played at a mexican resturant. Now that was fun.

"And the winner for the first music battle of the week is...Midoriya." Aizawa said in his ussual tired tone.

If we are being honest, I wasnt too surprised that I won. I was kinda sorta expecting it. Ussually the only time I dont win is when im up against singers... I always get so nervous around them. I wish I could put my past and bad memories behind me and sing in front of people but I just...cant.

Once Aizawa told me the gig he set me up with he sent us off to lunch.

The rest of the day was pretty boring. Math, history, english...all that "fun" stuff. (Lets be real...math? Ew.)

I made it to my dorm and went straight to the shower. This is the only time I feel comfortable singing. The walls are soundproof so nobody can hear me. I put on my karoake playlist and hopped into the shower.

I finished showering and hopped into bed.

(This A/N is crucial to the story!)
This chapter or "prologue" is so you can see Izukus status in the class. If you cant depict it just by reading this just remember hes pretty much #1. Not much action in this chapter, just introducing character personalities. Once again, it may not be super clear so just remember Bakugo is calmer then in the anime. Hes friends with Izuku...like...best friends. And Todoroki is more social. Doesnt have as many daddy issues. Hes also Izukus best friend. Everybody else is pretty canon. Izuku is less social then canon because of his past. That will be explained later, dont worry! I do NOT have a posting schedule! Sorry! I do try super hard to get atleast one chapter posted a week but no promises!
