She is the sun;
the centre of his universe.
Shining high
in the sky,
giving life
but also causing strife.
The sun rises
and with it brings all its glory:
a bright and sunny new day to tell your story.
And then it sets,
bringing darkness as night falls
on the opposite end
with something evil lurking around the bend.
For one to strive,
the other has to suffer.
Being left in the dark supposedly makes us tougher.
She rises and I fall
