Neva finally opened her eyes, but her world was different.

She was under the water, and her thoughts began to fade. Her vision grew fuzzy, and she was constantly in-and-out of consciousness as she was taken by the current, awaking when she hit a hard rock or broke the surface for some air.

She began to see why the salmon struggled so much,

Neva eventually awoke in a break in the surface of the water, and lunged with what might she had left to the muddy, pebbly, banks of the river.

Neva was cold and hungry, but glad to be alive. Curling herself into the smallest ball she could, she drifted off to sleep.

Neva awoke, and her eyes shot open. She licked her fur clean of the small icicles she had collected after falling into the river. I'm such a fool. She thought to herself as she licked her paw pads. She whimpered a bit. How could father, and even the omega, survive this harsh journey?

Neva got up and shook herself as a last bit of cleaning. At least she was alive and it wasn't snowing. She began to trot in search of food, when she finally saw a rabbit in the snow. She couldn't help but drool a bit- after a long time in a river and all you've eaten since your departure was a squirrel and two salmon over the course of two days, any wolf would crave fresh, red, juicy meat.

Neva snuck up on the rabbit, and...

      Snap!

Neva found herself empty-handed and noticed the rabbit sprinting off. "Get back here!" She growled at it, pushing herself to catch it. But, still rather weak and running on an empty stomach, the rabbit quickly outran Neva. She heaved a sigh and flopped down, discouraged. She sat there for a while, then got up.

She did what she knew she shouldn't- follow the scent of dead elk in the air. She would either starve or be killed, either way resulting in her death. She figured she'd much rather it be quick than slow and painful.

She wound up at what looked very recent. This time, she sniffed the air, rolled in the snow,(and mud beneath it) then began to eat. But, this was not enough.

"Can I help you?" Said a black wolf, in a serious voice. Neva let out a small sigh and turned.

"Please, just a bit!" Neva said, begging. The wolf flicked his tail, seriously considering this. He looked her over.

"Very well, but don't tell anyone I let you eat, and, after that, come with me." He said.

"Thank you so much!" Neva barked, then began to eat, fiercely tearing at the elk's flesh. Once done, Neva sat next to the large, black male. Her "silver" eyes watched him as he moved, and his emerald green eyes always kept them on her as he walked, making sure she would not run. He finally took her to a large tree with a burrow in it's roots.

   "So, what now?" Asked Neva.

"We wait for my pack." He said, swishing his fluffy tail back and forth.

"What's your name?" Neva asked, eager to socialize after her past three days alone.

"London." He said. "And you?" He flashed a smile.

   "Neva." She replied.

"Nice name! Kinda, wintery-sounding!" London said.

"Thanks, yours is nice too. Sounds... fancy?" Neva tried to think of a word to describe London's name, but she couldn't quite.

He chuckled. "So, where have you come from?"

"Prospect Peak." Neva said. "I dispersed a few days ago, I believe three."

"Well you sure move fast! This pack is the Belcher pack. You're very far from home." He said with amazement.

"I don't move fast, but currents do." She said.

"You took a current here? Are you nuts?"

"Well, I fell in then went in and out of consciousness, then walked around here I suppose." Neva explained.

   "I see." He nodded.

"So where do you come from?" Asked Neva, curious.

"Belcher and Belcher only. Son of the Alpha." He said, beaming with pride. Suddenly, Neva felt nervous around this wolf. To make problems worse, some of his pack came back.

"Whose this?" Said a familiar voice. Neva whipped around to see the reddish wolf she had seen two days prior.

"YOU!" They both exclaimed in perfect sync.

A/N: I'm so evil. If you're wondering, you'll see why she said Druids and why she's here now (the red wolf of course!) What do you all think of Neva's adventures so far? Sorry this is kind of short (765 words I think) Have a good day!
