A/N: Oh my gosh guys! I can't express how happy I am! This book just hit #1 in Yellowstone! It wouldn't be possible without you guys, and it encourages me to write even more than before! Thank you all so much! Without further a-do, here's chapter three!

Neva felt a growl rising in her throat, but the reddish female didn't even bother to hide it, she straight out growled at Neva in pure disgust.
"London, what were you thinking? Bring in some, some..." She glared at Neva, "lost pup." She spat out, with pure disgust.
"What are you talking about? Adara, She was perfectly nice to me, and just because she's lost, doesn't mean she's a pup. I get it you're from the Druids," London began, "and that's okay, but you're a Druid no longer. I am now your alpha. They sent you here and you have to tone it down a little. That includes even on loners." He looked her in the eyes, as a form of dominance, and Adara tucked her tail a bit.
"Fine, But don't blame me if she carries off an elk one night, she's a little thief." Adara said, with not last disgusted look at Neva before she trotted off.
"Sorry about her." Said London. "She used to be a Druid and get kind of fiery. Her name literally means fire." He said with a chuckle. "But seriously, don't let her get to you. She's not as tough as she looks."
"It's fine." Neva said. "London?"
"Yeah?" He responded.
"May I join your pack? I'm so far from home, nothing's familiar, and I've seen death at my denstep far too many times." Neva Asked, rather desperate.
London was quiet and paused for a minute. He then nodded. "Very well, but you must prove your worth. You're kind, but as you just saw, you need more than kindness to survive Yellowstone." He gestured for her to follow. She followed him to the top of the slope.
She saw wolves taking down an elk- Adara, a brown wolf, and a white wolf- in hot pursuit. The white one waited patiently for the others to drive the elk toward him.
"The big white one is Wisconsin. He's not very fast and tires easily, but stronger than a bull elk if you ask me." He said, gesturing to the white one. Neva nodded.
"What about the brown one?" Neva Asked.
"His name is Ryker, and he's stronger than your average wolf, but not nearly as strong as Wisconsin. He's decently quick and has a pretty good stamina. He's kinda extra-fluffy around his spine, sometimes it looks like he has a mane." London chuckled.
Neva nodded, and got up to help.
"Wait Neva!" Said London. She halted and turned to him. "Yeah?" Said Neva.
"That's not your job..." London Began. "To prove your worth, you'll have to start out as omega. You know, like clean the den and mark the territory and such?" London said rather unenthusiastically.
Neva heaved a sigh. At least I have a pack now. She thought, as she began to tidy the den.

Neva returned from marking the territory when they finally took down an elk. She heard London's baying call, signaling it was time to eat. Neva's mouth watered at the thought of elk, and not something like fish.
She began to trot over there, when she was gestured to sit next to Adara. Neva sighed mentally, but did as she was told. She learned the omegas ate last- meaning there was very, very little food left when it got to her. But she was grateful it was more than she had been eating, and dug in, even snapping a bone or two and eating the marrow inside. She noticed Ryker taking a few bones for later, and did the same.
As Neva was finding a place to rest, she went outside the den, under the tree in case it rained. Just as Neva closed my eyes, a snarl pieced the air.
"That's my spot!" Snarled Adana, and she bit Neva's hind leg. She hopped up and and whimpered as she ran, she slept as far as she could from Adana's spot. Neva then remembered the worst part of being an omega- You were allowed to be attacked harshly for even the small things you did wrong.
She found a small clearing in the trees, and curled up under a bush, hoping her rest would save her from her troubles.

Neva awoke with a yawn, and the sun slowly rising. The pack was slow to rise, too, as it appeared only she was awake. She padded further into the forest, and noticed Ryker.
"Mother... I don't like this place." He said quietly. "It's far too cold here. I wish it was warm like home." He continued.
He's odd. Thought Neva. She spied, curious of what else he might say.
"I hope you still love me." He whispered. "Because I will find a way back to you, mother, and I'd cross the world for a chance to see you and father again." He said, with more courage in his voice. He got up, and padded off.
That's not nature of the wolf, what's up with him? He's not like a wolf. He's like no other animal I've seen before! Neva thought, as she prepared for her morning full of duties.

A/N: I just wanted to drop in again and say THANK YOU SO MUCH! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Who's Ryker? Is he a wolf? A hybrid? Where's he from? What's he up to? I'll drop hints here and there until it's confirmed. (If he's a hybrid, he might or might not be a hybrid that could or could not occur in real life!)
