The Doctor left and promised his return in a week, but of course that didn't happen. My 19 birthday was completely normal. That is until I fell asleep. A dream formed in my mind that I didn't quite comprehend. Flashes of blood and death and pain flashed over my eyes . I woke up in a jolt. Sweat drenched my body and my heart was pounding in my ears. It was then that the pain came. More pain than I've ever felt. It was as if someone was trying to spoon out my eyes with rusty silverware. So much pain formed behind them I let out a small screech of agony. My mother heard and rushed to my aid with dark bags under her eyes, but made it worse by flipping on the lights so I pushed my face into the pillow. I felt as if I was being beat over the head with a hammer. Like it was crushing my skull but it refused to kill me. This went on for several minutes until it just completely stopped. I pulled my face out of the pillow to reveal a massive circle of blood. My mom gapped me some tissues, brought me a new pillow, and washed my other one. She stayed with me for the rest of the night to assure my safety. This became our routine for almost a month before it started happening during the day.
I was at work at our café when my nose started to bleed. I had my first verifiable vision. I was in a room sitting in the floor. I tried to move but I was impeded. All of a sudden, the room fell apart around me and I was outside. Still a statue, I witnessed convivial celebration and happiness, but then, as if a nefarious force expedited time, an uproar of bereavement and consumption was ubiquitous. I suddenly saw into a mind of delirium and strife. It raced at top speeds and seemed disheveled. The person was screaming at themselves in a voice impregnable to my ears, but I could feel their self abhorrence in my soul. They walk out into the world of mass destruction and fire. I felt an implacable rage fill me and I let out an inhuman noise. I snapped out of it and realized I was being held. Without looking at my rescuer, I sunk myself into their arms and sobbed until I fell asleep.
"Bay, wake up." A voice filled my ears and I opened my eyes. All I saw was a blur of people.
"Mom?" I asked. My throat was dry and my tongue felt like sand paper.
"Shh, baby don't talk. Here is some water. There is someone here to see you. Says he's one of your colleagues from work." I took the water from her as my vision cleared.
"Doctor?" I asked when is overly delightful face came into focus.
"Aye! Baylee! Nice to see you awake! " He smiled.
"Mom, can you give us a minute?" I asked, my voice weak but hard. She excused herself and I glared at him.
"What happened to being here on my birthday so you could help?!"
"I'm sorry. Sometimes I loose time . Especially in alternate universes." He explained while fiddling with his bowtie.
"Doctor, this is horrid. It's ruining my life! I can't even go to work anymore! And the visions are so gruesome. ."
"You're remembering your visions?"
"Yes. Well this last one is the only vivid one."
"Oo I wonder the awful juicy things you know now about me.."
"Doctor.."
"No don't tell me we don't need a paradox! Have common sense!"
"Doctor-"
"Baylee I really don't want to know. But I do wonder-"
"Doctor!" I yell, scratching my throat greatly.
"What, Bay, What?!" He yells back
" It wasn't you!"
"What?"
"Doctor it wasn't you. There's another timelord."
