Promptober (2019)

October 2nd

On October 2nd, they ended up actually going to school. Despite the others' pleas, Jordyn and Roman told them that they had to go to school. It was mostly because their parents wouldn't believe the two were sick again after they came back to a fully Halloween decorated house.

But as soon as school was over, they were going to do some seasonal taste testing.

Today was Cat's day to choose what they were all going to do. And she chose drinking restaurants' and cafes' seasonal drinks. It sounded like a relaxing and fun task, so the rest agreed.

But first, they needed to actually go to school. 3/5ths of them were tempted to just kidnap the other two and leave early. But that would be 'illegal' and 'bad', so Jordyn, Cat, and Roman were forced to go through the whole school day.

Nick and Jason were the few of the group that enjoyed school and all of their classes. Cat only like art, music, and Trigonometry class. Jordyn only liked Calculus and AP Psych. While Roman only like Theatre and PE.

Anyway, let's skip to the last few minutes of their last period.

Cat, Nick, and Jason had their last class of the day together—Trig. Cat and Nick sat at the same table in the middle of the room with Jason at one of the desks in front of them.

The teacher was finishing  up the lesson by having the students copy what he wrote on the board. Nick was the only one of the group to take notes though. Jason was explaining the last bit to a classmate next him, and Cat was looking at the clock every few seconds.

She had the best grade in this class, so she could afford to not take notes this one time.

Taking out her phone, she texted Jordyn. She was currently in AP Psych.

Cat🐱🐈: Hey, are you doing anything rn?

Jordyn😈: Nope. Ms. Brown finished the lesson early.

Cat🐱🐈: Cool, I'm bored and wanted to ask you something

Jordyn😈: ?

Cat🐱🐈: Where should we go first? And in who's car?

Jordyn😈: I ain't driving. Just make Rome drive again.

Cat🐱🐈: Kk, but where first?????

Jordyn😈: ... How about the queen of all coffee for young people? Starbucks?

Cat🐱🐈: Kk! I'll tell Nick and Jay.

Looking back up from her phone, Cat realized that the teacher had finished the lesson and everyone else was free to talk. Jason was sitting backwards on his seat to face their table and was talking to Nick.

"Guys, so we've decided that Roman is going to drive us again and that our first stop is Starbucks," she announced.

"We?" Jason asked.

"Jordyn and I."

"Oh, that's who you were texting. Okay then. Sounds like a plan. What about after?" Nick questioned.

She shrugged. "I don't know. Random places."

"Wait, did Roman agree to drive?"

"Well... no. But Jordyn's probably going to tell him now," she said with a sheepish smile.

She was.

Jordyn😈: You're driving again today!
