Sorry it's been so long guys! I've had a pretty big writer's block and too much stuff to do... but volleyball season is almost over so I should have more free time on my hands! Let me know what you think of this next chapter!
The next day, first period didn't go so well. Mr. Strong wasn't very happy when I didn't show up the day before. Not my fault! This school is like a maze. But Becca was at least in the class with me so it wasn't too bad.
We had second period together also, which mostly consisted of notes handed back and forth.
Lunch came and went with many kicks and giggles. Well, not on my part. See, apparently, Mason got a new flavor of the week, and he just had to show her off to us... don't ask.
The next few periods were full of Jenna's questions and Kyle's teasing, until finally it was the end of the day.
I walked home from school like the day before. After opening the front door, I noticed Jacob there waiting for me.
Jacob was one of those people that Becca would consider the jocks. His strong build and broad shoulders had me guessing that he was probably in football. But he was also tall at about 6'5" so he could also do basketball for all I know. For all I care.Luckily, he's not in my grade though. He's a year older than me and in his last year of high school.
"Hey, bitch. What took you so long?" He said with his usual sneer.
I shook as he yelled at me. He knew I couldn't respond.
"Hurry home from school from now on. I'm not going to wait on you. You have chores to do today. My chores. There's a list of things to do on the fridge, and do my laundry while your at it. I'm going out with some friends. You better not say anything to my parents." He shoved my shoulder aside as he passed and slammed the door behind him, making me flinch.
I walked into the kitchen and saw the note on the fridge.
Jacob,
You need to do a few chores before we get home: clean the kitchen and living room, do the dishes, mow the lawn, and clean the bathroom.
Mom
Great. This will take me forever.

Three hours later, I collapse on my bed. I'm just about to fall asleep when I hear the door slam. Jacob probably just got home.
Luckily, he didn't come to my room. And not even fifteen minutes later, his parents get home too.
Before I can fall asleep again, I'm called down for dinner.
They didn't ask me any questions, just like last night. I didn't mind. It's not like they would've cared about my silent response.
When I was done, I went upstairs and fell asleep from exhaustion.

I woke up early the next morning and decided to leave early for school so I wouldn't have to see Jacob.
After my long walk to the school, I headed for the library and after many twists and turns, I finally make it there. I decided to look for a book so I wouldn't have to stare at the wall in my room for the rest of my life.

Eli's POV
Ever since I woke up, I just felt like it was going to be a good day. My mom made breakfast, which isn't new, but it tasted better than usual. And even though I was asked many times as to why I was in such a good mood, I didn't snap or get angry. It actually made my mood better. My wolf keeps telling me that it's going to be a good day, but I don't know how he can tell or why he thinks so.
He wanted me to get to school early so that's what I did. At first, nothing was different. I wandered the halls thinking that something was going to pop out at me and make my great day mean something, but nothing did. It wasn't until I wandered near the library, which never happens, did I notice something.
Well more like smelled something. And it was amazing! It was a mixture of vanilla and roses, even though I don't think I've ever smelled the two together. I followed the intoxicating scent into the library to try and find it's source.
The librarian looked at me as if I was crazy, and I don't blame her. I've never been here before. I honestly didn't even know that the school had a library. But I wound my way through the aisles like an expert trying to find the person behind the smell.
And that's when I saw her.
She was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. She had long brown hair that flowed down to the middle of her back. Her blue eyes stood out against her pale skin. She had a little bit of makeup on, but you could tell that even without it she'd be beautiful. She was standing in the aisle looking on her tiptoes for a book which made her long legs look even longer. And even with all of these thoughts of her beauty and all of the questions running through my head, it wasn't until she looked in my eyes that my wolf said the one thing I was waiting for.
Mate.
So, a little bit of a filler, especially Ana's part, but it's done! And hopefully I can start on the next chapter tomorrow! I still have a little bit of a writer's block, and I don't really know where I'm going with this story so if you have any ideas, please let me know! And also, if you have any ideas on how Jacob could be more terrible without being completely gruesome, let me know! =)
