24. LINK BETWEEN

Vacy reached the practice room about 5 minutes late after the lecture as he had to bring his violin from his room.

When he entered the room, he saw Vaishnavi removing her cello from the case.
"Hi Vaishnavi." Vacy said.
"Hey, Vacy! How was the lecture?"
"It was fine. By the way where is Sid?" Vacy questioned.
"Sid? I guess he has gone to pick up the music sheet." She sounded as normal as possible, not letting Vacy take a hint that they were helping Brett and Eddy.

A while later, Sid entered.
"Sorry I am late. I had left it in my room."
"No worries. It happens." Vacy replied.

All of them tuned their instruments, and started practicing. Vacy tried hard to look for any anxious behaviour between Vaishnavi and Sid. But couldn't find one.

After practicing the first few bars of Dvorak, they decided to iterate the same bars till it's clear.

While playing the piano, Sid heard Vaishnavi calling him.
"Sid.....Sid!" Vaishnavi whispered.
"What?" Sid whispered back.
She pointed her cello bow towards his feet.
That's when a daunting fear settled inside Sid.
The sheet that contained the binary codes which he had sent to Bella fell from his jeans pocket. And Vacy was just on the other side of the piano.
He couldn't lift his hands from the piano to pick it up and the sheet wasn't small enough that his feet could hide it. He decided to slide it underneath the pedals of the piano.

Vacy noticed Sid kept constantly looking at the pedals.
"Hey, you ok?"
"Yeah....my feet hurts, I ran from my room to here and kind of twisted my leg." Sid lied.
He bent to pretend to touch his leg, but he bent to take the sheet and kept it back in his pocket.

Vaishnavi turned the topic and asked Vacy,
"Oh! By the way Vacy, how is your coding process going?"
"Uh....it's....going ok." Vacy hesitated.
"Everything's fine?" She asked.
"Yeah....yeah."
"Have you done any more progress?" Sid asked.
"Of course!" Vacy lied.
"Then show it to us someday!" Sid exclaimed.
"I actually gave it to my friend who is an expertise in this and to find any errors." Vacy lied again.
"I forgot to save it in the server. But it has the coding saved in it." Vacy didn't realise that he had said the truth.
"Oh ok." Vaishnavi said.

After 45 minutes of practice, all left the room.
Vaishnavi and Sid were going back to her room to help Brett and Eddy.
"It's good Vacy didn't suspect us." Sid said.
"I know right? But the thing he said about the server is questioning me." Vaishnavi said.
"The server.....the coding....gave to his friend...Oh no..."
"What?" Vaishnavi questioned.
"Do you remember the day when you showed us the fanart?"
"Yeah."
"That day also Vacy also showed his coding. Remember what happened next?"
"Yeah!
You said that you sent the email to.....Brett and Eddy." Vaishnavi replied.
"And that email contained both, your fanart and Vacy's coding."

Both just ran to her room to tell Eddy, Brett and Bella that Vacy was behind this.
