(Colby's point of view)
Sam comes bursting threw my bed room door in tears. I ask him what's wrong. He was sobbing so hard it was not easy for him to form words. Then he presses his head against my chest but I don't care. I ask him another time what's wrong as I wipe his tears away. With difficulty he was still able to manage to say that Kat just broke up with him. Then there was a long pause of silence, but I ended up soothing Sam enough for him to fall asleep. It was getting late and he been through a lot so I let him stay in my bed for the night.
(Sam's point of view)
I wake up to to realise I was still in Colbys room with him all cozy spooning me, and that's when my feelings for Colby started to develop.
