“Well done Addy.” Adrian turned to find his angel smiling her wicked grin and clapping so slow it was almost sarcastic; almost, but not quite. “That was quite a show.” The faint orange glow surrounded them both and ash fell again. “Why did I have to do that?” His voice cracked. She didn’t respond for a long time.

“Why did you?” She paused “Well I don’t think that’s the right question... Well anyway did you enjoy it?” Silence. Adrian just stared down at his shoes. “No? Well that’s too bad, I thought you would.”

“I just want to forget.” Adrian said surprising her and even himself.

“I can make that happen.” Adrian was startled.

“Really?”

“Yep. I can. You’ll still have the memories but you just won’t have a connection with them. You’ll forget who your first kill was but you’ll still be my Addy… Addy the killer. Oh I quite like the sound of that. Addy the killer It has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?”

“Whatever, but you have to make me forget about Marco.” The name made him cry again and he couldn’t stop himself, even in this dream. Adrian turned away to hide his embarrassment, his face now growing hot.

“As my Addy wishes, but you have to look at me.” Adrian reluctantly turned to face her but avoided eye contact. She grabbed his chin and raised his gaze to her eyes. He could feel himself falling into her pale eyes, being sucked in. Blackness engulfed him and he woke up.
