Flying High

Chapter 1, A New Life

You look at your new hero card, (f/n) (l/n), Hero No. 24. You get a little giddy and wriggle in your subway seat. You're on your way to the hero agency run by the No. 2 Hero, Hawks. Your dad used his connections to get you into an agency until you get your own. The subway comes to a stop and you get off. You look up at the huge building, taking a deep breath before stepping inside.

Not even two seconds in, you feel a woosh as something flies by you. You blink in confusion, shaking yourself out of it. You reach up and pull a red feather from your hair. You tilt your head as the feather shakes and flies out of your fingers. It flies towards a man in a beige jacket and goggles. He scratches his head and looks over at you. "Oh," he says. "You must be the new girl."

You squeak and bow. "Yessir!" He laughs and walks over to you. "No need for sir, I'm only a couple years older than you." You come up from the bow and tilt your head. "You're 21, right?" he asks. You nod. "I'm 23, so no sir. Just Hawks is fine." You nod again and bow. "Sorry si-I mean, Hawks." You hear him laugh and tussle your hair. "I have a feeling I'm gonna like having you around."

You right yourself and smile. Hawks smiles back, making something twinge in your heart. He motions for you to follow him and he gives you a tour of the agency. Looking around, you see it's an impressive agency.

At the end of the tour, Hawks turns around and brings you closer with one of his wings. "There's one more thing I need to show you," he says. You blink as you feel yourself blush a bit. "I need to show you the real reason I let you into my agency." You're about to say something when he practically rams his lips onto yours. You jolt a little bit, but the warmth from his lips is overwhelming. You sink into the kiss and wrap your arms around his neck. He uses his wings to seal you two off from the world, so to speak, as he runs his hands along your back.

"You remember me, don't you," he says. He leaves you panting, as he moves his hands to your waist. You smile and rest your hand on his shoulder. "How could I forget a kiss like that?" you say. Hawks chuckles and kisses your forehead. "It's been a while, (f/n)." You look up he takes off his goggles. He shows you his earrings, and you move your hair back to show him yours; they match. "The promise we made years ago," Hawks says. "Is finally fulfilled," you finish.

Chapter 2, Trouble Brewing

A few weeks in, Hawks decided to bring you on a team-up mission. It was versus a new villain, who called himself TitaniUmbra. "Warptress!" Hawks shouts. "I need your help up here!" Hawks zooms around the villain, shooting feathers at him. "On it!" you shout back. You use your quirk to ride a piece of fallen sheet-metal to help Hawks.

HERO NAME: WARPTRESS

QUIRK: ULTIMATE WARP

DESCRIPTION: ULTIMATE WARP ALLOWS THE USER TO WARP ANYTHING THEY CAN SEE, AS LONG AS THEY'VE HAD AT LEAST 5 HOURS OF SLEEP. THEY CAN EVEN WARP REALITY TO TIP THE BATTLE IN THEIR FAVOR. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE IMMENSE PRESSURE IT PUTS ON THE BRAIN, A LITTLE PIECE OF THEIR SANITY IS BROKEN EACH TIME. EVENTUALLY, THEIR SANITY WILL SNAP. NO SOLUTION IS KNOWN TO CURE THIS.

Once you reach the villain, you hop onto the building edge and smirk. "You messed with the wrong hero pair," you say. You look down at a car and reach out your hand. It becomes coated in a slight glow and flies up towards TitaniUmbra. It smashes into him, sending him flying. Hawks catches him before he hits the ground and sets him down by a police car. Something inside your head feels like a snap, causing you to go to your knees. You hear a flap of wings and crack open an eye. "You okay?" Hawks asks. You're about to nod when your view begins to darken and you feel yourself fall. Just before you lose consciousness, you feel a strong pair of arms catch you.
