Jinki had seen Kibum once in the past two weeks. It went as expected, extremely awkward and they didn't say anything to eachother until they had to. He spent most of his time alone, although he did see Jonghyun and Taemin a few times. He was angry, hurt and lost. He spent a lot of time crying, wondering how Kibum could hurt him like that, even though he promised he wouldn't hurt him at all. With the time he didn't spend moping around, he was at the gym, working away his anger and frustration. Taemin even met him there a couple times, just so he wasn't so alone.
Jinki had recently received a new wallet, thanks to a very generous fan. He decided it was time to switch to the gifted one, as his current one was worn and probably didn't have too much time left. He sat on his bed, moving the cards from their old places to new ones, finding the perfect home for each and every one of them. Stuck in between two cards he didn't use often, was a small folded up piece of hot pink paper. Jinkis heart sank, eyes starting water. He knew immediately what the paper was. Memories of the morning he received it and the night before came flooding back.
After spending nearly an hour reading the note over and over again, he mustered up the courage to call Kibum. Even though it was going against everything he ordered Kibum not to do him.
He dialed his number, his heart was starting to race, tears were still falling.
"Hello?" The voice on the other end sounded sleepy.
"H-Hey.. sorry did I wake you up?" Jinki was nervous, he didn't know how this call was going to pan out. He glanced at the time on his phone and it read 1:43 AM. "I didn't realize it was so late.."
"Yeah, but it's alright... why are you calling me?"
Jinki could hear Kibum sit up in his bed. "Well.. I um..." he cleared his throat, trying to hold back the urge to just hang up and sob, "I found that note. You know, the one you left me the day everything happened?"
"You kept that?" Kibum sounded shocked.
"Yeah.. I guess I just never took it out of my wallet.." Jinki didn't know what else to say, neither did the boy on the other end.
"I miss you.." Kibum spoke softly, after staying quiet for a while.
"Me too.." He sniffled.
"Come over? We can talk.. or if you don't want to talk, we can just sit and stare at each other.." He mumbled, knowing Jinki was probably going to say no.
"Well.. I guess I'd like to just sit and stare at your face~" He chuckled a little, sniffling once again, "I miss looking at it.."
Kibum smiled, starting to become hopeful. "Are you hungry or anything? I can make you food or something for when you get here.."
"No.. I'm alright.. thanks though." He stood up, "I'll see you soon~"
"Okay~" Kibum bit his lip, trying to contain his smile from growing anymore, "See you soon, Jinki~"
