Anna was sure that she languished on the floor and yet awakened in a bed.the four walls around her were unfamiliar being laced with gold sewn on sapphire paint, her heart raced.

Her body ached if maybe her muscles hadn't adjusted to the luxury of a cotton bed or sleeping on the floor for most of the night.

"Finally, you're awake" a female voice sung.

Anna's body straightened out of instinct. The women must of been no younger than thirty five with greying at the roots and faint wrinkles around the eyes. From her familiar charlcoal her enthesising her fireace features to her piercing motherly eyes. This stranger had a certain air around her of Authority.

"Who are you" Anna finally managed to stutter the words the she struggled form in her mouth.

" nevermind that, the king requests your presence" her glare war cold and shown no hint of any emotion, her song was dim, to low to comprehend the instrument played. Flute or piano.
Anna's hair was a birds nest, her eyes puffy and her pearly dress was now a matt and slightly wrinkled. She was in no shape to meet a noble.

" my name is Eliza, I'll be escorting you to the hall" her back had already faced Anna as she glides to the large oak door.

" come along now breakfast is going to get cold" she didn't face Anna, she kept her eyes solely on the hallway.

Anna pulled her knees up to go over the bed She flinched. Pain sears through her leg like branding iron. The pain was increasing in waves causing a slight nausea forming in the pit of the stomach causing her breath to become louder and her face to become paler. It was the fall from last night, when she was thrown in her room.

Eliza has already left the room, her clacking heels echoed through the hallway and stopped

" is everything alright madam"

" y-yes" Anna choked, casting a shadow over her face to cover her lie.

She held her breath gritting her teeth

She purposely made her dress cover her leg.

She used the walls as support, she focus on her breath praying it will distract her.The hall was grand, ceiling must have been miles high decorated by a stunning stained glass, the rest of the room however was a Ruin. Shaded blue paint, unpolished gold, a complete opposite of the room she was in before.

With her body slightly rocking lady Isabell gestured to a chair next to

Anna choose to ignore the presence directly  sitting in front of her.

The grand table top were layered with trays of everything you can think of and things you never dreamed off. Tarts, cakes, fruit, beef, a whole pork. Enough food to feed A village.

Julian scared had he had permanently lost her stared at her and commented nothing.

A maid with amber hair laid cups of water on each persons right. Her body trembling of fear, pain her shaking hand reached out to have a sip of water. Julian began to indulge himself in the feast. Only his chews and gobbles filled the room.

Eruptively a chair creaked backwards. Anna stood. She took the risk of looking at the time in the eye.
"Assign me a carriage and I'll be going" Anna ordered.
"It was a pleasure to be here but I really must return to my duties"

Julian stood silently, she could feel his signature grin widen.

" excuse me" before Anna can turn away.

"Your really going return when they sent you here" Julian asked chillingly. He had a point.

" work for me, I'll pay you...double in fact" he was desperate

" thank you but I'll find work somewhere else" Anna's migraine began to increase, she needed to flee the room. His power was overwhelming like a shadow looming over her.

Anna feeling her eyes heavy began leaving the room. Each wave of pain cuts of Anna's ability to speak. She walking towards she entered the hall sends her crashing in the bare boards. Her blood became like acid eating her from the inside. Her gentle whimpers echoed.

The wooden floor opened as is a trap door. Anna hypnotised her feet touched the end. The realisation hit her, what is she was to slip and fall. Endlessly falling in darkness like the books had imagined. She closed her eyes knowing her fate.
