Chapter Two: Alli Cat

Alli's POV

"Allison! How was your day?" My mother practically pranced into the entry hall. "Did you make any friends?"

"Hardly." I sighed. "The person who was supposed to be showing me around ditched me, so I showed up late. Who wants to talk to the late girl?" I complained. "No-one does! I sat alone in both classes."

My mother let out one of her your-being-rediculous laughs, and rolled her eyes. "Dont be silly."

I followed my mom into the kitchen, a large room with custom stained red cabinets, granite counter tops and a lovely veiw of the god-awful city. I only know this because I've had to listen to my mother tour around all of her friends through our new home. It feels more like a dungeon, not that i'd tell my mother that. I'd rather be outside painting or drawing rather than spending any time inside.

The smell of home-made cookies wafted through the room from the stove, a bunch of halloween themed cookie cutters with little chunks of dough still stuck to them sat on the counter, ready to be washed a dried by my mother. She was an absoute neat-freak, born to be a mother. She has big auburn hair, brown eyes and thick hips. She'd never let me touch a cookie in fear I'd get fat, even though she bakes them regularly for herself and my brother. I couldnt ever recall eating one in my moms house, or anyones. My mother told everyone when I was younger that I was severely lactose so I wouldnt have any sweets.

My parents arnt the most loving people. My fathers an amazing archtect and travels for months at a time desgining buildings in other contries. To compensate for not being in any of my childhood memories he pays me handsomly for "being a good kid." My mothers suffocating and my faters too distant and uncomfortable with showing "affection" so I doubt I could ever have a proper daughter-parent relationship with etheir of them. But I'm totally okay with that, I have friends in four different conteries, (due to my fathers shifty job) and two dogs and 15 fish.

"Alli, if your not going to listen to me then go upstairs and unpack your room. You've had those musty boxes up there for days, and they need to be thrown out." My mother said, her voice sounding whiney.

"Two days, mother, and you bought them at the store, they're not musty at all." I said, doing as I was told and heading up stairs. Yes, definatly suffocating.

Authors note: I know this is short, but I just wanted to write something for you. This needs to be edited, (Along with the first chapter) and I am still looking for a new editor. I will also be changing the cover picture soon, but I want everyone to soak in each one before I change them. :)
