Amaya was nervous for the first time in her life. She was about to board a craft to Benevolent with two perfect strangers. Although she had bargained hard to even be on the ship, she was still bloody nervous! Two people had died in the last two trips, after all. Although, one of them was her fault, so maybe she couldn't count that one.... Anyway, she thought, brushing aside her nervous thoughts. I'll be there this time. I'm the Alphaverse's flipping Assassin! If i can't do this, no one can. She scrunched up her forehead in disgust. Ugh, now I sound like that Joseph idiot.

She pulled out her Televisor, determined to find a distraction in the form of her brother. "Heya, Squirt!" Afran Aoel's freckled face grinned up at her, crinkled with wrinkles of happiness. "Still got your holy title?"

She shook her head laughingly. "You're silly. I'm heading off on Justin and Jacobi's mission to try to save the Alphaverse! Not exactly the main job of the Alphaverse's assassin, but what do I know?"

Afran threw back his head and laughed. "Stop stuffing with me." He shook his head. "You're not serious."

"Really, I'm serious!" Amaya said earnestly. A crease appeared between her perfectly detailed eyebrows. "Please believe me, Afran."

Afran put his head in his hands. "May, why would you say yes to that? It's horribly dangerous! From what I have heard, it's practically suicide!"

"Frannnnie...." Amaya stretched out the nickname with purposeful teasing. "Hey. Look at me." When he raised his eyes to meet hers, she continued. "I've done more risky things. That last mission we did together was mental!" When he opened his mouth to rebut, she rushed on. "I have Justin and Jacobi to protect me. Now is my time to make history, and prove I'm a hero, before someone exposes me for my crimes and I end up rotting away in a jail cell, or get cormbulated and strung up next to Jaymi. Don't worry about me, Frannie." She smiled reassuringly.

He didn't seem convinced, but rather sighed in defeat. "Whatever you think is right, May. But just know that...... there is someone waiting for you to come home, okay?"

Amaya didn't seem to perceive the gravity of the situation. She smiled in return, and said lightly, "Don't worry, Frowny Frannie. I'll be fine, silly. Talk to you soon!" He opened his mouth, but she ended the call. She sighed. Lying to her brother about how she was feeling was only the tip of the iceberg. The career of the assassin was tiring and brutal. Being the youngest in the league didn't help you chances of survival, unless you were trying to enter an orphanage.

A ding rang through the port, and a ramp opened on the side closest to her. A cool female voice echoed in the empty chamber. "Please proceed to the craft, Amaya Aeol." Amaya rose with shaking legs. No time to worry about the past when she had to focus on the future.

Jacobi Jones was still flabbergasted with the events of recent happening. Between the kiss that he secretly thought was to die for, and being in the presence of THE Amaya Arisnoe, the Alphaverse's Assassin, His life was a mess. And now he was about to board a craft to Benevolent with the freaking Assassin who had just murdered his new-found best friend turned psycho who also happened to be old friends with his new lover. What had life on Jungle become?

Just as he was dwelling on the unresolved happening on Joseph's untimely insanity, followed by death, he remembered something. "Jenevieve!" He whisper-shouted under his breath, followed by a quick curse.

"What?" Justin turned to Jacobi from his desk across the other side of the room. "What did you say?"

"Jenevieve, Justin! She romantically involved with Joseph! I bet you no-one has told her that her love had his throat slit and we are going to continue the mission without him, but with his killer instead! Someone should tell her, and it should hella be us!"
