The next day I get a message from the old scientist. It's time I go back to the real world and correct my mistakes.

I don't know if she will look for me anymore but I hope she doesn't I don't want her to look for me for 2 years or something like that.

I just need to go back right now without making any more mistakes. I tell him that it's time I am ready to come back.

Say that the machine with a circle appears the same machine I came from before. I go inside it with the huge smile on my face. I think I have done a pretty good job this time.

As the machine starts and I get a message from the scientist that he  turned on the machine I close my eyes and think about all the good things happened.

I don't think so I will be able to tell about this to anybody so I have already made up my mind about the excuses I will make why I was missing for two or three days

As a comeback the scientist is smiling wide at me

Wait he knows what happened?

Why are you smiling like that I say in frustration.

He shakes his head in disbelief and says I did it I made a time machine I need to inform this government as soon as possible.

Oh so he doesn't know that's ok I don't want to share my personal life with the mad scientist.

So what happened when I was away.

nothing really happened but your mother called to your office and ask where are you so I told her that you went to Geneva for a meeting for 2 days.

And she believed you just like that

I didn't say this all by myself your assistant was there and also your wife called she asked me where you were too

And what did you tell her

The same thing I told your family.

Ok I need to go now.

Wait I need to interview you how it all went how you went into past and what were side effects.

I'll talk about it later. I'm tired. Now let me go.

You always shake me off like that when it comes to my work.

If you know me that much, why even trying?

I exit my office as I say that

"Oh excuse me sir?" My assistant says as she runs towards me

"What is it?!"

"I thought you were in Geneva?"

"Good" I start walking

"You are in office, sir your strange shift to Geneva risked so many meetings, you have busy schedule"

"Schedule it from tomorrow"

"But sir-"

"Off to work now" I give her deadly look. Why the hell everyone has to give me a hard time? I'm a simple man who wants some time alone with my wife is that too much to ask?!

I smile thinking about it. I'm going to meet her finally.

I reach home in the afternoon. I smell a good aroma of tea. It's coming from my apartment.

I guess she loves cooking. Whenever I'm home she tries to cook something always

"I'm home" I say.

She comes out with a sad smile.

"Oh welcome" she says as she goes back to cooking

"How are you?" I say as I stand near her.

She is holding a huge pot in her hand with some red coloured gravy in it.

She pauses and looks at me in the eye.

"Rik?"

I look her back with same amount of confusion.

"Yes?"

"You don't remember anything?"

She asks

"Remember what?"

There you go, her strange behaviour starts again

"You and me, we had a good relationship a few years ago"

Wait.

What?

"When?"

"Oh I see you still don't remember, forget it"

"Tell me, what kind of relationship?"

.I think me going to her past, became a part of her past and that's why she always behaves like she knows me and I thought she's crazy!

This is all my mistake!

I forgot if I go to her past she'll obviously remember it.

"I do" I say silently

She suddenly keeps the pot on table and comes to me with confused look on her face.

"What?"

"I remember"

I smile at her, looking into her eyes.

"Okay? What exactly?"

"That you're a strong girl"

"And?"

"Did you try to be in a relationship after I left? I told you not to have a boyfriend" I tell her, to remind her that I now know what she's talking about.

"Oh my god you know! You remember! Why were you acting so strange when we got married?!"

"Because I didn't know I would be going to your past that time"

"Going to my past?"

"I mean visiting you"

"You went into my past? Weren't you living around the town?"

"Yes I was"

"Yah, you didn't even age a bit, you were so rich in your twenty and you looked exactly the same!!"

"Yah I know" I say, I am so shocked that she thought I was 20 years old that time.

She hugs me tight, her head resting my chest.

"I love you, thanks for everything " she says.

I kiss her head and hug her back tightly.

"You're all worth it"
