Chapter 3
"Am I insane? I fold myself over and scream 'til I'm spitting blood. Flies in my brain, the itching is incomprehensible and it won't stop! Am I alone? The voices grow fainted, but they just won't fucking go away. The devil came to take me to hell, but I'm already there." Asking Alexandria- The Death Of Me
"C'mon Ashley! He won't arrive!", Liz said. Maybe she was right and Sinan wasn't going to arrive for rehearsal that day... We hadn't talked after the funeral and I was a little worried. The thing that happened the night before, it was just creepy... but more terrifying was the fact, that it all disapeared after I woke up! No blood, no broken fragments, nothing! I guess, I felt asleep after being scared for life, else I couldn't explain why I passed out. Anyway, the band wanted to practise for a very important gig we had to play pretty soon. In exactly two weeks from then, but that couldn't happen without our guitarist. "Calm down...", I told Liz. I walked up and down infront of the little stage at the pub we were allowed to practise at. "Maybe he has to do something more important, who knows?" Why did I come to Sin's defence? I couldn't explain... maybe because I thought he was my best friend then. His poker face was amazing. Even I couldn't see through it and now I wish, I really hadn't seen the truth behind this ignorant face. I really do, but what can I change today? Well.. nothing! But first let me go ahead again...
"Something more important? Like what?", Mitch asked. Why do I always have to explain everything? "I don't know... I guess there's quite important stuff for him to do, after his wife passed away, remember?", I said. Mitch looked down, Liz and Kellin changed views. "Okay, fine!", Liz sighed. "Five more minutes!" - "Thank you...", I said and looked to the ground while walking again. He was pretty late, he always was, but never that much. I still tried to figure something out... what about his reactions towards me at Abi's funeral? And that creepy stuff that happened last night? I felt like I was the protagonist of a very bad horror story. Like really really bad! Something pulled me out of my mind, when I heard the front door open and close again. Then a tall, dark person with black hair styled to a side cut came towards us three. "Sinan!", Kellin shouted. "Finally you came here!" - "Shut your freaking mouth, little boy!", Sin grumbled. I looked at him quite surprised. What was wrong? Maybe that was just his way to show his sadness, in fact of his main situation I expected then. "Sin, you're... alright?", I asked carefully and made a step towards him. He shook his head and grabbed his guitar. "Don't want to talk about anything! Just practise! Nothing more or less...", Sinan said. His mood was terrifying...
The rehearsal ended, so I put my bass into his case and saw how Sin ran out of the room, after grabbing his guitar. "Sinan! Wait!", I called and ran after him. It was raining outside and it was a little cold, but it was okay. "Please, as your friend... what's wrong with you?", I asked again. He didn't answer, he just questioned back: "What have you seen last night?" I looked at him quite surprised. How could he know? How was that possible? I hadn't told anybody... maybe did he...?No, impossible. "What?", I asked back. I acted like I had no idea what he was talking about. He didn't have to care, it was all my business... He just nodded. "Forget about it...", he said with his very deep and low voice, before he turned and got into his car. Whatever he knew, I had to find out what and how...
